Montcalm Restaurant

I have always enjoyed the Montcalm. The last few years, we have been going for Lunch as we had activities in the area. Excellent food. For Lunch, check the hours, they are to the minute.

Food is horrible, never ever again. I had a heartburn for three days, my husband through up for two days. Good dinner for 100 backs!!!

Im very surprised about the negetive reviews. My family goes to lake george every year and we stop at the montcalm before going to six flags in order to avoid buying an overpriced meal there. There are 10 of us in our party every year and we are always amazed at how the price is between $90-$110 for all 10 of us. I have always enjoyed the food and I know noone else in my family has had any complaints. The service was nice as well and overall I have always enjoyed the montcalm.

The negative reviews are a real surprise to me; we've been eating at the Montcalm for 40 years and more and never had a disappointing meal. The menu is variegated but every dish is dome well. The Montcalm is not modern or trendy and doesn't try to be; it serves solid American and eclectic fare, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the service is cheerful and competent. It's not cheap, but it's more than worth the prices it charges. Perhaps these complainers would be happier with Happy Meals?

I can't believe people actually dine here! The food is nauseating. Both my husband and I were disgusted with the food that we barely touched it and still felt sick for the rest of the night. The place is so stinky too- there must be mildew in the walls and/or the carpeting because you can smell it. I was also shocked that the prices were so high and they are too cheap to serve butter with bread that instead they serve MARGARINE. Salad is just leaves with dressing, and the entrees we had (shrimp pasta) were $20 a plate and they tasted like sewage water (that's putting it mildly). Don't eat here or you'll be truly sorry.
