Excellent family ski hill. Great for all skill levels; plenty of terrain for beginners, and great cruisers for the more advanced. There are actually racing teams that come from Syracuse and other places specifically for the runs "Exhibition" and "Competition". Also has the best grooming in the Ottawa region in my opinion. The chalet is also nice, a great bar and a fairly priced cafeteria.

Great ski hill with a nice beginner area and some fun intermediate runs. The opposite side of the mountain has a pretty steep slope as well with moguls for those who want more difficulty. Cozy chalet with reasonably priced food. Nice overall hill to go skiing with the family.

Nice ski hill, but be warned, almost every run is a well deserved blue. Almost no green runs, and minimal black. But that said, it is an enjoyable place for winter family fun. The Blue runs were varied in slope and width. The learning area is nice - wide and long! The lifts are a bit older, but functional and well maintained. The cafeteria serves good food ($5 burger, $3.50 med. fries), but could use more indoor seating. Parking is not that bad, and there is even a parking area at the back side of the hill. Buy your tickets online for a discount. Note: my rating makes no comparisons to other famous hills. This is a budget hill, and that is how I rated it. Those looking for a posh resort should look elsewhere! Great for families. And for those curious about what they do with the waterslides over the winter... See attached photos!

This was my first time at Cascades. I used to patrol at Calabogie, so most of my skiing around Ottawa has been there and at Fortune. The conditions were good. The staff were very friendly. Restaurant had good burgers. Good enough selection of runs and difficulty. I'm going back again.

Great place for skiing, especially for beginners. Facilities are good and rental equipment seems to be well maintained. Ski instructors were very nice and do well with kids.
