Monroe Motel

We stayed in older part of motel (weren't given choice) Spacious room with kitchenette, but smelly and dirty. This property is in a trailer park, we had an exciting night as the police showed up at the trailer park. A/C was broken, no screen on windows, neighbor's cigarette smoke piled in. Wouldn't stay there again.

Manager was very unprofessional. and the rooms are very dirty and neglected.

I have had a very good experience here. The setting is beautiful and rustic. Very quiet, just what I was looking for. The room is clean and comfortable. The people working here are really nice, friendly. If I find myself looking for another motel stay, I will call here first.

Nice amenities for under a hundred dollars but if you smell per urine, the owner or manager will question why you waited until 10 pm to tell them. Also, if you have a dog, he may immediately say the only thing he can smell is your dog. He will offer you a refund but not give a good explanation what his point is that he can only smell your dog. I, for one, can differentiate my dog from per urine in carpet. So far, room 9 seems less smelly than room 14. Pet fee of $30 not well spent (by them) on odor abatement. They may possibly be attempting to shampoo it themselves, which alarms me a little. True carpet cleaning pros are available for hire in Monroe too.
