Mondello

Food was excellent (smallish portions) but we reserved for Valentines Day and website posted menu prices were $22-35. They phoned to confirm reservation and mentioned it would be a fixed menu and that they would post it to their website. I never saw it on the site and when we arrived the fixed menu only had four choices ranging from $75-90. Sure it included salad and a desert but with a cheap bottle of wine it was for $260 (with taxes and a 10% tip) for two people. We could have gone to Piatto which is better and more upscale and had posted a fixed menu at $60. We felt like it was not fair. post mortem: The owner phoned me to explain that they had posted the fixed menu to their home page rather than the menu page, so maybe I missed it. I would have put it on the menu page though. They explained that their suppliers raise prices when valentines day comes up.

I was looking for a cozy and classy place that served halal for date night for my husband's birthday. I called Mondello's on a whim and the staff and chef were incredibly accommodating. They arranged for halal beef tenderloin for us. We had an amazing night. The food was delicious and service was warm and friendly. Absolutely would recommend to friends and family.

Absolutely everything was delicious from start to finish. Portion sizes were perfect my main was actually far more than I imagined (I never have leftovers but ended up having to take some to go) server gave great recommendations. Service was great as well as atmosphere. This was my first time here after living in Streetsville for a year and a half but we will definitely be coming here more frequently.

Cozy inviting place. Good quality. Very friendly staff. Very quiet. Limited Veggie option but is good what they have. Fried feta appetizer was outstanding. Veggie pizzas and pastas really good. Eggplant parmesan flavorful. Customary fresh bread w butter was tasty.

Romantic atmosphere albeit it got noisy for us (it was a Friday night after all), excellent dish choices and great drinks selection. The desserts were good although most choices contained peanut butter for some reason. Loved the duck Fettuccine!
