Edited to add: it wouldn’t kill the staff to crack a smile every once in awhile. Degraded to 3 stars. Could work on friendliness. I have been a loyal Monastery bakery customer for 18+ years, back when it used to occupy just a couple of store fronts in the plaza. Everything here is fresh and delicious, right from the baked goods and pastries, to the hot meals to go, to the wonderful deli. It's is extremely busy on weekends and so the parking lot can be a bit of a deterrent. I just go on a weekday now instead. The reason I only give 4 stars is that this place goes through plastic bags like crazy! No one seems to be encouraged to bring their own ☹️ Really wish they would offer some of their own reusable bags for sale or implement an incentive/fee system. I always bring my own bag but I am definitely in the minority. Also, take out etc. is offered in styrofoam. Come on Monastery Bakery! Please make this small but environmentally significant change!

The Monastery Bakery used to be a great place, but over the years it has grown so fast the quality has gone down and the prices have gone up. A few examples are the Tuscan Roasted chickens were amazing and such a joy to buy and bring home, now they don't even taste nice and they are just mass produced. They used to have nice BBQ ribs, the racks have become smaller and the price sky rocketed from $9.99 to $15.99. Greed has surpassed quality and it's very unfortunate because The Monastery used to be a great place to go and you really could impress your company with items purchased here, but now it's just grocery store quality.

If you like authentic Italian cooking this is the place! Pizzas lasagna pasta all types of Italian dishes that I love are well prepared and ready to go when I need them! I also love their pastries! The rum Baba are my favorite exclamation point I often go there in the afternoons to buy one or two and I enjoy them with an espresso at their Espresso Bar which is in the monastery Bakery 2! I just love this place!

Great bakery, deli, hot prepared food. Always lots of staff. Can be slow right before holiday dates, but that's only because it is so popular. Parking is a bit challenging during busy time.

I love this place. It is great. The bread, the food, all is great,fresh, and regular price. I order some chicken yesterday for a party, but I have to cancel due to weather, they canceled and returned the money without questions.
