We came into town for a wedding from Texas. The easy thing would have been to go to Tim Horton's and get mass produced, soulless donuts. We opted to try this mom and pop shop and are so glad we did! There's a great variety of great donuts and baked goodies. Everyone was super friendly and nice. Everything we brought back to the house solicited a "Wow!"
This Portuguese bakery offers many delicious baked goods; a good variety of bread loaves, toast breads, baguette, tea biscuits, bagels, strudel, donuts, turnovers, cannolis, Portuguese tart Pasteis De Nata, cheesecake, cake, etc. Inside the store smells really nice! especially in the mornings. Donuts are very delicious, dough is soft, moist and chewy, the fillings and toppings are perfectly balanced. I really loved the cannolis, too. It would definitely be my go to for baked goods.
I have heard amazing things about this bakery so I decided to pop by and grab some donuts and treats for my husband's birthday. I was not disappointed! They have an amazing selection of goods and I had to stop myself from buying one of everything. The staff was very friendly and helpful and even offered to write happy birthday on the box! The apple fritters are to die for - I will definitely be recommending this bakery to everyone I know!!
I saw reviews for the bakery on Google and decided to go, I was not disappointed at all! The aroma of fresh baked breads, the pastries and baked goodies are just the perfect antidote to Canadian winters. I got some bagels, chibatta and donuts with a coffee this time and each one of them was yummy! Perfect spot to try for anyone on the lookout for mom&pop style bakery
Nice Portuguese bakery. Great customer service. Nice people. I wish they had a bigger store. They need a newer bread slicer. Other than that it's all good.
Only had the espresso and it was ok but not close to the quality of bakeries in Toronto
Love this little bakery! Every time I go here I enjoy the food. The owner was always so kind and good with customers. I would leave 5 stars but there is an older lady now working who is very rude to customers. I came in yesterday afternoon and she complained that someone was calling four times for two sandwiches infront of everyone with attitude. A 6th customer came in and she was very ubrupt saying we can only have 5 you have to wait! I really think she could use some help on customers service skills because this will drive down business, I didn't want to come back after seeing this. She also said we don't slice meats we have no time and we only make sandwiches if you call. Overall great place however I really think that helping this employee gain some new skills will be beneficial.
I visited Aveiro bakery many years ago when they had their location at Applewood Plaza, my Oma grandma and I used to visit often, and the owner Priscilla was always so kind! My Oma passed away 5 years ago, but will always remember those memories of us visiting together and always enjoying the treats! This afternoon, I stopped by, and got a few goodies for myself and my co workers who have grown fondly to love Aveiro bakery! The goodies are always so delicious. I cannot wait to visit again! Was fired with no notice by the owners of the establishment after inquiring about break times because I know well enough that according to ministry standards and labour board say that you are required to have 30 minutes minimum and I was only getting 15 minutes on a day when working 7 hrs. As well me mentioning that more-infection control measures need to be in place due to fact that we are around food for patrons. The washroom and the back are not for the public however more care needs to be in place. Doing my part as an employee. I also feel like I was discriminated against by the owners because of the colour of my skin. Sad because the manger is amazing and she has to do all of their dirty work. Very unprofessional. I am a new resident of Oakville and this very disappointing to see racism in a community that is so beautiful. I am thankful for the opportunity however this isn’t how we are supposed to be treating people in this day and age.
Wow!!! Read a lot of great reviews about this place so I decided to give it a shot....and oh boy I’m glad I did...TWICE so far. Tried their raspberry cheesecake the first time which was amazing. A few days ago, I decided to try their gigantic donuts. Got the glazed and the apple fritter and the sprinkle donut for my kids. Size was HUGE...and the taste out of this world. Will definitely be visiting sooooon. I still have to try their amazing looking breads and cakes.
