Sushi Train Japanese Restaurant

Used to work in the area near Coen sushi so I would frequently place an order for pickup to satisfy our sushi craving, now that I switch to a new work place I still drove 30mins to this place and 30mins back just to get sushi! And that is a testament to how good Coen Sushi is, definitely very good bang for the buck sushi and consistently good every time. The fish is good, sushi rice is good, tempura is good, the manitoba roll and grant roll were good, only gripe was that the sashimi could be bigger slices. So far my go to sushi places are Edoko for more pricey but higher quality, Coen Sushi, Sushi Ai and KL sushi for a more budget friendly alternative to good sushi. Edit: Went for dine-in dinner April 25,2022 Monday, they dont officially accept dine-in but accommodated us nonetheless. Still amazes me how consistently good the food here is every time. Coen sushi is now our no.1 favourite affordable sushi place.

Cute little place, ordered 2hrs prior. Arrived, food wasn’t ready. Bit of a language barrier so we weren’t told what was happening or how long we were waiting or anything really. This is the only reason why they received 4/5. The food was fantastic!

We live in River Heights and this is our go-to take-out sushi spot. Good fish & avocado to rice ratio. Salmon avocado roll and the sushi pizza are our staples. Fantastic Soya sauce - they have their own recipe, they don't give you the awful super salty soya packets. Owners are also super friendly.

I thought I had found my fave Sushi place and remained loyal for years! Price didn’t matter however, customer service is VERY important! I live closer to Coen so I thought I’d try them. Coen not only has great sushi but the prices were a pleasant surprise not to mention their good customer service and free drinks to boot! well…I’m sold I’m glad I gave them a chance!

I always enjoy going to this little sushi nook in my neighbourhood! Great sushi and sides, never have any issues with my orders, whether delivery or take-out.

Everything is delicious here, I recommend the magma roll. The restaurant itself is very clean and cozy. I try to come here at least once a month because I know how hard they work, they lady is the so so so nice and has offered and given me free drinks before. I love this place so much and it will always my go to sushi place. In the photos the roll looks a bit squished down but that's expected because of the packaging.

Amazing sushi quality and freshness. Prices in general are very fair according the size of the rolls. Ramen was good too. My only complain was the service... a little slow but worth it. Would definitely go back

Hands down, the best sushi Winnipeg has to offer. Always fresh, generous portions, reasonably priced, and such friendly service. Can't beat that. I've tried other highly rated sushi places when they are closed or the wait is too long, and always finished the meal from the other restaurants with a slight disappointment.
