A few months back I had made a lesser review of Moms Cafe. Today, I can say I absolutely enjoy coming here frequently for breakfast! My son and I come here at least once a week typically for a breakfast. It is now part of our routine. I would recommend stopping in for a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. Very friendly owners that do a great job to make this place what it is. Happy to say that this is a spot that I will now frequent. Thanks! P.S. I love the way the toast is always stacked. It’s all in the details.
I dropped by the cafe and had a lunch with my family. Staffs are friendly and all the dishes are amazing. Crispy chicken burger is one of my favourite and bailey chocolate milkshake is delightful. I live far from Sooke but will definitely visit there for food. Highly recommend this place.
They have a pretty good homemade lemon meringue pie. Other than that, it served quite an average diner brunch. The waffles did not taste homemade...it tasted like the ones you buy pre-made that you reheat. The ketchup tasted quite tangy and not Heinz, and the French toast was thin and dry. But it was filling.
Still the best breakfast in Sooke! Perfectly done bacon and farm eggs. The not too sweet mixed berry compote with wild blueberries, strawberries and raspberries is a perfect accompaniment to the sour cream pancakes. We could resist tasting before we took pictures of our meals.
Consistently so very tasty. Friendly staff, fast service and awesome quality/quantity. Love going here. Blackstone Benny and Veggie hash pictured here are are our go-to favourites.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Long line, empty tables. Staff did non acknowledge our presence. Coffe was old and horrible. Took 45 minutes to get soup and french fries. How do you screw up french fries? They were clearly cooked yesterday with green bits cooked the side chopped parsley I hope. I made the mistake of looking at the floor under the table due to the stickiness under my boots, there is no way it has been cleaned in several weeks. I came here because I visited this restaurant in February of 2019 and loved it, homemade pies were amazing I repeat were. No pies this time. I feel so bad for all of the people that I recommended this place to. SAD really. Will not ever eat here again.
Who would have thought this cafe would be good?? I never expected the food to be food especially Korean fried chicken with sweet chili sauce. I had some excellent Korean fried chicken but this is on par with some I ha tried. The chicken is both crispy and sauce has enough sweetest to coat the chicken that I want more. In fact you want to buy another basket. I tried a bit of the Jalapeño clam chowder soup of the day, fish and chips from my Brothers, they were good. I ordered BBQ beef steak burger. It is also good as well. The milkshake is also good. But too bad chocolate and chocolate mint flavour sold out but next time I will order them whenever I visit Sookepoint. I will come back to Mom's Cafe!
Had their fish & chips. The piece of fish was half the size of what it used to be and it was awful. You know it's bad when you have three cats and not one of them would touch the fish! The price has gone way up, the portion size has gone way down and the bottom line is that most of my meal ended up in the garbage can.
Visiting Sooke and saw Mom's Cafe. Thought it was be an ok cafe....but wrong. They had good tasting food. I had a halibut fish and chips. Chips were crispy and nicely salted. The fish was decent...thick and firm. We also order Korean chicken wings and were impressed that it was tasty and flavourful. Staff were friendly. We felt that we would come here again when we visit Sooke. Bonus they had dog friendly patio! The pies are huge. We were too full to try it this time. Maybe next time.
