Just visited and ordered the Green Thumbwich which was just delicious! Bun was toasty and fresh and the ingredients together was just so yummy. Also ordered a latte and the girl added in some pumpkin butter and had a great vegan “Not Milk” option which is so appreciated for someone always looking for plant-based options. This latte was one of the most delicious I’ve ever had! Overall awesome service by the girl behind the counter didn’t catch her name - super-friendly and we will definitely go back!
The bunwich was made with fresh ingredients and delicious. We also had an Americano Misto and Bees Knees Latte. So glad we skipped a chain coffee place and visited this little cafe. Great service. The baristo had an excellent dry sense of humour. Great beach style furniture in the lobby for dine in. Highly recommend.
Last night we ordered dinner from Road to Sooke coffee shop in the Prestige Hotel, Sooke, BC. I have to say April is an amazing Chef, dinner was so so good! During this rock time out there, please support our locals. If April does her take out dinners again, we definitely will order. All I can say is "Yummy". You can also stop by for her great coffee & muffins to go or many order great menu items.
Road To Sooke Café has coffee that is locally roasted and incredibly good. Nice place for our morning coffees and have a variety of morning muffins and baked goods, to go. Located in the lobby of the Prestige Oceanfront and open until 4:00. On a rainy day, we found some games set up and ready to play, scrabble and fish jenga, good job and thanks.....
April always has something new! Take a look at this this one: coffee with rose. My favourite is definitely a carrot pie!
We just had a very unpleasant experience at the Road to Sooke Cafe. Despite looking forward to visiting this establishment for a month as we are living next door, we were supremely underwhelmed by the service at our initial visit. We ordered coffees and baked goods, and were not offered any napkins, cutlery or plates even though we intended to dine in the cafe and had children with us. We asked for napkins and were told they were in the console, but they were not. Also at the time of transaction we were asked if we wanted to leave a tip, BEFORE we even received any service. Although I left a 15% we still were not thanked, or treated like we were much welcome there at all. They did not even say goodbye to us when we left, they just carried on their conversations between each other, loudly while playing their own music completely oblivious to the music already playing in the hotel lobby. The cafe is in a beautiful setting but unfortunately the staff do not know how to provide any kind of welcoming customer service.
The breakfast here is on point! They also serve really tasty muffins that I would highly recommend.
Easily the best sandwiches I've ever had. The smoked salmon sandwich was so fresh and delicious I came back the next morning for breakfast sandwiches and treats. Everything from the bread, to the ingredients we're very fresh. That makes such a a huge difference . Service was excellent, friendly and overall an all-around very pleasant experience to my trip. Do not miss this little gem if you are in Sooke.
All I can say is wow! You must stop at this cafe if your ever passing through Sooke! Maybe a nice warm up with a coffee after a chilly west coast beach morning. You can tell that the owner is passionate in what she does and her years of Experience really show. The baked goods and sandwiches are unreal. The location is prime with a nice ocean view. Tucked inside the prestige hotel so perfect if you are staying there too.
We had the new pierogy and gnocchi dinners last Sunday and the quality was like eating in an expensive restaurant, but at home. Also of course their snacks are always delicious, especially the cinnamon buns. Combine this with friendly service and you have a winner. The new delivery/takeout model is a great idea.
