My partner and I came to Montreal for the weekend from Toronto and was excited to see there were so many accommodating classes available at the studio. We booked & paid for the 2pm class online and because of issues out of our control we knew we would not make it on time. I tried calling the studio 30 mins before class to see if we could switch our class to a later one but no answer. After several calls I left a voicemail and I still have not received a call back. We also went by the studio and there was not a soul in sight. I am sure the studio and teachers are great, it would just have been nice to speak to someone or get a reply back.
I love their yoga teachers: they are very nice, professional and the classes are great!
It's too bad, I felt that the yoga class was pretty good. However, the front desk staff was very snobby which I didn't understand why. One front desk member asked me for proof of purchase after attending 4 classes and having a key card AND access to the online system. Not friendly : after 6 classes I've chosen not to come back as I did not feel comfortable interacting with the front desk staff. Other than that it is a beautiful space big dogs hanging around and large studio space! Very clean.
A little hot for me but for most that's what they want...great instructors.
Best prices in town! And promotions! Get the trial for a week. If you get a membership there you can use it at the other location too. Great people, great trainers, great space. They offer community classes at $5, call them for the times or check online:. This place has classes non-stop from morning until night. They offer dynamic classes like flow, yin and restorative. Hot, good for the skin. Big space, many places to rest, relax on couches or cushins. Showers. Some food and beverages.
This studio is LIT!!! Beautiful studio space, great vibe, and extremely knowledgeable yoga teaching staff. No surprise it's the most successful yoga studio in Canada. Take Dina Tsouluhas's class if you manage to get in... exceeds expectations. :
Went there for about 15 classes on their introductory one month for a really good price although once that ends it turns a bit expensive. The classes are great, teachers great and they have classes all the time everyday. The only thing I didn't like is that they have these 2 big dogs wandering around unleashed and in two ocassions they barked and snarled at me and ocassionaly you could hear them during the classes... I just stopped going because of that.
If you never had a hot yoga class, that is the place to try. It's not just about the good technical guidance you receive there: the environment is totally yogi. The lounge is homey and warm, and you can sit beside a really big dog while sipping a tasty chai offered kindly to you. First hot yoga class is a chock: you think your blood pressure will really drop badly, you sweat, you realize your muscles are more flexible immediately so you go deeper than ever in your stretches. You leave the room a bit dizzy and thinking that you never more will come back. Then you enter under a tepid shower and feel every stress, toxin, even accumulated bad mood going down the drain. You feel grounded and strong. And you go back over and over and get addicted to those classes. Like I did.
An amazing and positive experience. I’ve been practicing moksha for three years now and I can honestly say that it’s been an overwhelmingly positive experience. I really believe moksha has helped me cultivate the kind of strength that you can’t get from a traditional workout. My body is more open and it’s been good for my psychological health as well. And the sweating! Very pleasant I must say, especially on a cold winter day.
This place changed my outlook on life, I recommend to anyone looking into hot yoga to give it a try here at moksha. I did 4 months here and it was enlightening experience. Wonderful staff and teachers. I have only good things to say about my experience here
