This place used to be a family owned and operated place. The mother was a cook from heaven. You could have the very best biryani in the whole wide world there. Sadly they sold their business and moved on to Ontario. The new owners offer same dishes but the quality is just average now. It is still the best Indian/Pakistani restaurant in the town but it is not what it used to be.
Delicious, flavourful food as always, maintaining consistent quality ever since the restaurant first opened its doors. The gravies are cooked to perfection to blend spices and flavours. Attention to detail and excellent customer service. Definitely on my list for one of the best East Indian/Pakistani restaurants
I love this place. I order delivery a bunch, they are accommodating and helpful. They like other reviews point out can be busy- even if it doesn't look like it- it is smaller and family run. Do not let that stop you from enjoying wonderful food. If you like Pakistani food- this is OMG- worth it! Favorite visit: On my way to the grocery store for the week. I stopped in so I could order, go shopping, come back and not worry about dinner for the evening. I went at a time when it looked slow- but he had orders. He took the time to help me as I am THE WORST with remembering, pronouncing, and ordering what I want. He got me through it, and was patient and made some great suggestions! I went off and 35 minutes later I came back- there must have been FOUR or more big orders ready a couple going out for delivery and a couple waiting to be picked up. My server, was happy and helpful the whole way through. Once home it was amazing. When you read the reviews with '1, 'and '2'' in this case the person writing them is an obscure statistic. Great food, Great service, Great work on the part of the owner, employees, and others involved in making this restaurant wonderful.
I honestly did not like eating here, Butter Chicken was lacking flavor, Beef Tandoori Kebab was falling apart was very soft and tasteless. Chicken Biryani was average. However I did like Samosa's here which is the only reason I give an extra star.
Ok after waiting for 20 minutes, i saw the cashier coming out of the kitchen who was apparently also playing the role of a waiter. :/ i reached out to him and all he said was "you have to wait 20 minutes before i can take your order". when i came into the store there were only 2 tables that were occupied. Lets hope at least the food is up to the mark. Will update my review IF my order gets through. The food was amazing. The wait was worth it. So changing my rating to 5 star.
I'm a professional chef and have worked in fine dining for a decade plus and when I'm done work all I want to eat is Mogul Divaan! I love this place and have a lot of my friends, cooks and non cooks alike hooked on this place. Just a heads up though if you are the type of person the prefers boneless skinless chicken breast or don't realize that Pakistan and India are two different places and both of them are a lot different then what you might be used to, then maybe you better stick with what you know. They do an amazing job of using the parts of the animal that are often forgotten and thrown out. The only complaint I have is that I'm now addicted and can't quit going there and spending all my money.
Hands down the best Indian food in Saskatoon. It's authentic and delicious! Great service, and always a good variety on the buffet. I recommend to anyone that enjoys trying new foods.
There are nine or ten Pakistani spices that hit the palate at different times with each dish. One of the best land buffets I have ever had. I also love the Kashmiri pink tea.
The kabobs were raw and the chicken tika Masala was atleast a week old. After eating here I got food poisoning definitely would not recommend this place at all. This place definitely isn't practicing food hygiene.
TERRIBLE TERRIBLE food. I eat Indian food all the time, all across Canada, and have never been disappointed by indian food regardless of the dish I choose- until I tried this place. DISGUSTING. The veggie pakoras were nothing but battered frozen french fries. The butter chicken was gross, and the chicken meat itself still had all the skin, grissle, and fat on it. At first I thought it was just one piece that had been missed- but no- every piece had skin and fat or grissle on it. The flavour of the sauce was not appealing at all. The veggie samosas had no veggies either- just shredded potato and very little spice/flavour. DISGUSTING. I threw our entire meal in the garbage. A waste of $30.
