Modern Touch Hair Salon and Spa Pickering

It took me going to 3 salons and a lot of disappointment when I moved to Pickering before I found Modern Touch. Finally FINALLY I have found ‘my’ Salon. My first visit with Bob was refreshing. He listened to what I wanted, didn’t push me into what he thought was best which had been all my horrible previous experiences. He gave me his professional opinions (which are always right by the way!) but heard me, listened to what I wanted and what my lifestyle was (mom to a new baby) to help me decide what cut would be flattering but also attainable with limited time to spend on my hair ;) he just seemed to be able to read me and every cut and colour I have had with him has been amazing, I always walk out of this salon feeling like a million bucks. The salon as a whole is so professional and friendly, atmosphere is fun and energizing. The salon is clean and inviting, I would Recommend Bob and Modern Touch Salon to Anyone and everyone! Can’t say enough positive things, go, go now and experience it. You will be so happy you did!

Modern Touch is very conveniently located near 401 exit at Brock, has a large free parking, a contemporary interior with professional and friendly staff and affordable prices. I used their manicure/pedicure services and always been more than happy with the results. Valy is my hairdresser for many, many years and I have implicit trust in the way he handles my hair. His customer skills are wonderful: always with a smile and a good demeanor, takes time to listen to what I want, makes various suggestions, recommended me various treatments and products suitable for my hair, but never pushed me into making a decision. My hair used to be thick and curly, then got thinner, then just wavy and he managed to find the right cut through all these changes. He is a master in getting the exact shade of color you want, the cut that best fits your face and to get you ready for a party, in style. I really don’t know what would I do without him!

I have been going to Modern touch for awhile now and I recently switched stylists. I got a balayage, cut and style done by Bob. I came into the salon with a picture of what I had in mind for the colour and he did an AMAZING JOB! He did my hair exactly the colour I wanted and I could not be happier with my results. I have seen him the last couple times I have been in the salon now and he never disappoints! It all started when I had a bad colour job done to my hair that was done by someone else and it was not at all what I asked for! He was very accommodating and fixed the colour to what I wanted. Ever since then I always see him, very talented and professional.

I've been going here for a number of years. I can honestly say that I have never been disappointed. Both Vali and Bob are excellent and each with their own forms of creativity. I've had cuts and once in awhile even dyed my hair and been happy every time.The staff are friendly, book appointments easily and very rarely have to wait past my appointment time. I like the new salon also. Great location, easy to get to and parking right out front the door.

I've been here twice so far, for a haircut and style, and both times, it was a great experience. Vali did a great job at taking the reference pictures I had brought and making sure they could work with my type of hair and face. When I mentioned how I liked the way he had styled some waves into my hair, he even offered for me to bring in my own hair wand and he would give me some tips and tricks for getting best results. They really make you feel like they genuinely care about helping you look your best. I will be definitely be coming here for my hair styling needs in the future.
