Always a busy place, people come here to pack food for the whole family and friends. I counted about 7 people in the kitchen. They work super fast. All ingredients are fresh and quality is good. But that's remaining a straight American fast-food. I wish I had some secret family-recepie sauce in my burger. But it seems to be people not care, they cover their food with a layer of ketchup and mustard from the shared can and taste well.
What started as a “we’re just nipping out for a few things” - turned into another run along the lake to the Niagara Region - it was a gorgeous day for a drive. Along the way - we discovered @mjsownmunchies_ and let me tell you…worth the drive!! The portions are massive - look at that burger - the patties at any local joint around here are less than half that size! The poutine - the cheese is LAYERED - not just put on top - so it’s through the whole thing and my Mum who is not as into poutine as I am, was all over it. The chicken fingers are fantastic and again - so many fries we actually didn’t even eat those just saved them to reheat this week! If ever you’re in the area - or even if you’re not - just head out there for some yummy food and support another fabulous local business!
Nice restaurant along the way to Niagara Falls on the lake. Food is excellent. Long line when we arrived for lunch but they are efficient and didn’t take long for us to get our food. Parking is free and there’s a nearby farm with produce sold adjacent to the restaurant.
Fun decor, very apt for its location. Don't go looking for healthy options. It's more for delicious greasy yummy food. Friendly staff, lots of indoor and outdoor picnic table. Perfect for a break on a road trip
Great little place one of the best burgers I've had in a while. Quick and friendly staff. Want to go back soon and I don't mind the 4 hr drive to get there either lol
MJ's is not what you would expect. It has a very unique decor of 100's of world car lucence plates lining the ceiling. The tables inside are picnic tables but it really adds to the feel of the take out restaurant. The menu has mouth watering lunch and supper fast food hamburgers, chicken, fries, etc. The staff is welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend
Stopped by for lunch when I was passing through. The staff are super friendly. The patrons were very nice too, maybe the law of attraction had something to do with it. The menu is diverse enough for grab and go food. The burger was very tasty. This place also has sriracha hot sauce available, winner in my books. Lots of outside seating. If you bring in a liscence plate they'll trade you an order of fries for them. Will come back.
The hamburgs aren't flat...they are a round ball in a bun, lots of bun with no meat dosen't work for me. The fries are not crisp, they were previously cooked and re fried...wilted and limp. My husband had the polish sausage in a bun...he threw it out...A waste of time and money
Real hamburgers in Canada. The desserts are also fantasticFood: 5/5
Chili poutine was horrible to be honest, not sure if it was just the day and not the regular chef, but I had to replace it, we couldnt even eat it. They did not give me the refund when replaced with the traditional poutine which is a 3 dollar difference. They had no problem doing the switch over but the refund would have been nice. Would recommend the poutine but not the chili. Atmosphere is a quick come and go and staff seems to keep to themselves.
