Miyako Sushi

Nearby to 3 other sushi places, I found this one consistently better than the competition despite being an underdog since I do not see them nearly as busy as the others. I am not sure about the cause of this but based upon my experience, service and food were great. The first time we came here had a few rolls and were tasty. Second time I was working in the back alley and walked in for takeout and the nice server knew it was me at the back so she delivered it to me and the food was awesome. Third time I brought a large party and everything was excellent. This place deserves a try. It isn't authentic Japanese owned but let's let the food do the judging. Thanks for reading.

Based on the ratings of Google reviews my wife and I have decided to go give this place a try. We were quite disappointed. One of my worst experiences of a sushi restaurant in the greater Vancouver area in a long time. We first had the prawn tempura to start.. It was okay but the prawns didn't taste as fresh, tasted a bit mushy but because it was deep fried it was alright. We then had the nabeyaki udon, the soup could have a bit more flavour but it was okay. We then had our sushi rolls and Nigiri come out. The chopped scallop roll felt like there was more cucumber than the scallop itself so the taste of cucumber trumped the chopped scallops. We then ordered a spicy salmon sashimi with the sauce on the side.. But when it came it was the sauce was still mixed into it. Anyway we thought it was weird because we haven't seen a spicy salmon sashimi with eggs come with it. We felt like the eggs was just used to take up space.... Didn't have many pieces of salmon and the sauce was not even spicy. Just tasted salty and got our order wrong. The spicy salmon sashimi was definitely a let down. I honestly wouldn't be returning here. The price here wasn't not really worth what we got for it. We left unsatisfied. For $60+ we think we could've got a better deal or more satisfying meal else where.

This is one the worst sushi places ever. The California roll tastes like burnt fire with semen on it (I wouldn’t recommend it) and the yam shreds are very oily. service is very slow, Its pretty quiet here I don’t understand why they are super slow. the guy who makes the sushi stares at you and it’s very uncomfortable. The Yaki udon is very disgusting. My time there was a disappointment

Chop sticks were thrown at me. Lunch on a Tuesday was quite quiet yet they still took almost 35 minutes for my small combo sushi meal. Lady server really needs to up her customer service skills.

the worst sushi restaurant in Vancouver, quality of nigiri was damn awful, and delivery man threw a plastic bag at me, and I barely grab the bag. There are stains on my tuna nigiri, I hope it does not make me sick. THE WORST SUSHI RESTAURANT EVER!!! I WILL NOT VISIT OR ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURENT.
