Mitzi’s is a cute little cafe tucked away in the beautiful Roncesvalles neighbourhood. We went there on a Monday afternoon for brunch and were seated immediately. The food was good and very fresh. We ate the French Toast and the Burrito. Both full of flavour. The service was alright. Definitely try this place if you’re looking to enjoy a delicious home cooked style meal!
This place rocks! The food was yummy, fresh and absolutely up to the reviews I’d read. The lady at the cashier went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my order. The ambience was homie and the art certainly added to the vintage vibe. Always buzzing with people, you might have to wait a bit but it’s totally worth it!
Cozy neighbourhood spot! We had the Special pictured and the Omelette. For the Special - my over easy eggs were cooked perfectly; the sourdough toast was excellent; and the bacon was thick and chewy just the way I like it! The side fruit segments cantaloupe, pineapple, and orange tasted fresh and flavourful, which is fairly unusual for side fruit and was a pleasant surprise. If you like jam, make sure to ask for some to go with your toast. I think it’s made in house and is super delicious. Service was a tad slow, but incredibly friendly. As other reviewers have mentioned, it’s CASH ONLY. There’s only about 20 seats, so arrive early to avoid waiting and will not be great for large groups.
Toronto's must-have-brunch. Stop by for a one of a kind pancake. Order the egg ensembles if you are looking for a healthier option.
The food is excellent, service friendly but skip the coffee it's bitter and watery and make sure you have time because an omelette and a french toast took about 45 minutes to get to our table.
Fantastic neighborhood breakfast cafe. Food was delicious. The Poach is a nice twist on the Eggs Benedict. The pancake with egg nog custard was to die for. The Google Maps entry does not tell you that this place is cash only. Beware if you only have US Dollars, they only do a 1:1, no exchange.
Had their french toast and oatmeal pancake this past Sunday. The oatmeal pancake was verrrrry hearty and delish. Definitely for a very hungry person. Was two thumbs up. French toast would have been enjoyable if I didn't find a strand of hair. Service is on-point. 9/10 would go back for that pancake.
WHY oh why have I never come here before? Driven and biked past dozens of times, but never gone in. Possibly the best eggs I've ever had. Rotating specials menu format. I had the scramble with pimento. Sampled my sweetheart's steak omelette. Staff are super friendly and dedicated to the craft of open-kitchen awesomeness.
The location is amazing and the food and drinks are above par but I still give this place a 2 stars because of the awful service from the server. I usually give good reviews but she just made my experience felt blah.
