This place was clearly understaffed the night I went out with my friends. We waited over an hour to get our food. The food was decent. I got the mixed fajita and my friends got tacos which were a lot better in flavour and quality. We also waited more than 30 minutes for just the bill. Despite the delays, the servers were very nice and the owner even gave us free shots around for the wait before we even got a chance to complain. All in all the music was great and the staff was extremely sweet! I can definitely see a lot more potential once they grow their team!
Wanted to really love this place. The service was great and appreciated the free salsa and chips to start. The mains ordered included the baja fish taco and chicken dish which didn’t have much flavour to be honest. I think the strange part during the meal were all the flies hovering around which was rather distracting. Wouldn’t revisit this place— perhaps ordered the wrong dishes but wasn’t blown away.
Amazing margaritas! I had the jalapeño and the mango chamoy as I like a bit of spice they were both delicious! The food was pretty good I got a shrimp garlic dish, will try tacos next time. The chips and salsa they offer as soon as you arrive is SO good. The ambiance is very lively and feels authentic, with traditional Mexican music playing. A band came in halfway through and they were so fun. Service was good, the team works together, I think my server was new so could not answer all my questions but that ok we all have to start somewhere. Would recommend!
First time here, and I will definitely be back. Service/staff was great, friendly, and attentive. They gave complimentary salas and homemade chips, which was delish. The menu has a lot of options, we ordered a few dishes, and all were 10/10. Rich in flavor and good portions. Also, a must try is the Tres Leshes!!! It was so good! ! Drinks were amazing, and there were lots of options as well. We sat in the back patio, which was beautifully decorated. Overall, it was a great experience. Thank you.
Absolutely loved everything about this newest Mexican place! Not only were the margaritas and tacos totally delicious, the Tres Leches was among the best I’ve had in Toronto. Service staff were very attentive and I cannot get over how the decor transported me to Mexico immediately. I will definitely be returning here soon!Food: 5/5
I visit Molkagtez for first time a week ago, now is one of my favourites Mexican spots. The many is great they have a good variety of Mexican dishes, most of them very authentic and traditional. The service was warm and very welcoming. Atmosphere was on point for a Mexican party, they were playing all the good music that you expect to hear in Mexico. On the day that we visit it, place was very clean, they had people cleaning all the time and enough servers to provide a great quality of attention. The pice is fair and not expensive. For all that we ordered the best were the Enchiladas verdes 10/10 Tacos de lengua 8/10 they need to improve the tortilla’s quality Flautas 9/10 Aguachile verde 8/10 We absolutely recommend the guava and mancho con chamoy margaritas 10/10 Dietary restrictions: My boyfriend is allergic to carrots, and when we mentioned they were very kind and the waitress made sure that no carrots were into the food and also provided us with a replacement for an side dish that was made with this ingredient to other that he could safely eat.
I didn't get why this place has so many great reviews. The place does have a good vibe back patio and the people are really nice & attentive but the food wasn't amazing. We had the molkajete cielo, Mary tierra which is a seafood and meat mix served in a traditional Mexican molcajetes. It came with soft corn tortillas not a fan! plus some corn pieces, cactus and jalapeño peppers. Salsa is layered on the bottom. It was really difficult to eat this with the tortillas as it was a very wet dish. Everything tasted okay but not great. Wish there is an option to get rice and refried beans instead of the corn tortillas. Oh for our app, we got the elote. The corn was overcooked soft, not crisp and it was bland with only mayo and feta cheese. For dessert, we got the flan Neopolitan. That was ok but at $8, it was a very small piece. I enjoyed the comp chips and salsa plus our Mexican colas.
Molkagtez is awesome. I went on a Monday evening so it wasn't that busy. I sat on the patio. Service was great, food was delicious. Ambiance and decoration was top notch. I will go again for taco Tuesdays.Food: 5/5
Food is ok and the servers are friendly. However the service is extremely slow. To make things worse the server brought out food for half of the people 20 mins before bringing food for the rest. Definitely a deal breaker. Given the prices they are charging, they should improve their service. Drinks are over priced. Update: owner of the place does not know how to take constructive criticism. Hence changing review to one star. Instead of working on improving service they have a ready answer for why they are bad. I went to this place twice. The review is based on my visit on a Sunday when half of the place was empty and still they were not able to serve on time and brought food for half of the table 20 mins after.
One of the best patios I’ve been to, amazing vibes. Food is 10/10. Service is unreal and everyone on the staff is so nice and extremely attentive. Add this to your list of must visits.Food: 5/5
