Great family orientated campground. The only downfall is bring your quarters to shower. I used 75 cents and had plenty of time and water. I'm unsure how long 25 cents is. The water is beautiful. The people are fun and friendly. I can't wait to come back!
Such a nice park, and a beautiful beach! We go to this beach atleast once a year, during our family reunion. It's a tradition! They have a park for the kids, a volleyball net, picnic tables, pavilions, bathrooms, and more. We love going to the beach, and then going to get ice cream afterwards.
A small and beautiful park! They have a playground, pavilion, and beach. The sand is so soft and the water warm. Wonderful park.
Honest really great beach for little kids. Has some play equipment and beach is very shallow almost all the way out. We stayed near by and went to the beach 3 days in a row. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars because I’m hoping this was a fluke but we went for the second time Sunday morning and the entire beach line was lined with poop. I’m not sure it it’s from people not cleaning up after their dogs or some some sort of boat mishap as this beach is right by the boat launch but it was disgusting. It was a regular thing I’m not sure we would continue to go.
It's a nice quiet campground. The beach is nice but not dog friendly. They have a grassy area near the boat launch, that although signs say "pets aren't permitted", the park staff told us that dogs are welcome in that area. My dogs don't care if they have a sand beach, they just like to swim and kayak, so it's a nice area that worked well for us. The bathrooms have been fairly clean, but it costs to shower. It's not much, but it's a pita, especially considering that the people who need to use it are the ones with small campers with no built in facilities and are the ones who are putting the least load on the parks septic system... There is a nice pavilion area and my kids have found a small arcade somewhere. All in all its been a fairly nice trip so far.
I took my kids here just to play and swim for a few hrs. The restroom looks a little sketchy but it was convenient. The play ground is dated but they had a blast. A very cool old merry go round, we don't see those often. Toddler swings, full swings, two play structures, monkey bars. It was plenty of room. The beach is great!! I love that it stayed quite shallow for the first few feet, great for the toddlers. My sons found some really cool shells here and some living snails and zebra mussels attached to a couple rocks. Only $2 to get in for the day. What a deal! Picnic tables nearby, very close parking. Picnic areas have plenty of shady mature trees.
No a large park, nice view of Lake Charlevoix. We had a rustic suite with no water or hookup, well shaded. They were using porta John due to covid. Nice location.
I have stayed here a few times. It is a great price for a few days. It's next to the lake and walking distance to the town if you need anything. The bathrooms are clean but could use an upgrade.
It's a beautiful lake. Some good rock finds. Always a favorite
Beautiful spot- clean sand, water, and park! Great for kids, the water is so clear and shallow. The park behind is a great distraction and everything was so clean and well maintained. $4 to get in for the day of you're not at the campground, but it's well worth it!
