Reviews
This review is based on the black pepper chicken wings we ordered. Very greasy and had no flavor. I had to make my own sauce and drench them in it to make it edible. As always, try it for yourself.
A typical american chinese restaurant that I always heard of from tv shows/others that gives out fortune cookies with their meals. Never really experienced takeout from one until I moved to the area. I find its one of the better options in this area though after trying 4-5 similar asian/chinese places within 10-12min minutes from my house in the north richmond hill/oak ridges area. The price if very affordable for a quick meal and the taste is most comparable to takeout food from the food courts in the malls. However, this restaurant has about 150 options you can choose from. A lot of their set menus have many deep fried options. If you order takeout and not eat it right away its best to reheat these fried things in the oven/air fryer. I tried recently: the chicken fried rice, general tao chicken, sweet and sour pork, sweet and sour chicken balls, egg roll As my palette is pretty sensitive to flavours, I can say the dishes do have pretty good taste and are not soggy if you eat them right away. Those who typically like their food extremely flavourful with spices, sauces, and spicy hot sauce will not like this place as the flavours of a lot of dishes generally will not be strong enough for them. Compared to the price, the value of the food is good especially in this time where inflation drove all the prices up everywhere. Note: I have also have slight sensitivity to MSG and it gives me a temporary cough. This restaurant triggered this reaction. Overall, I would go back there if I need a simple meal under $13/person.
Great prices, super friendly staff who always remember my order and delicious food. Can’t be beat.
Food is not bad but I'm giving 1 star because I called about 35 times but no answer So I decided to drive there and saw there was a line up Any respectable restaurant would answer and say it's a 2 hr wait
Tasty dinner with reasonable price! Nice people there too
Food here is great! The place seems a bit dark and most lights are turned off but they are opened. A bit pricey here but was worth a try eating here. The noodles are awesome! Would definitely recommend the chow mein here. Service is great as well and the wait for the food isn't too long either. In addition, the place also does delivery.
First time trying the restaurant. We picked two dishes in the chef's special list. Mango Beef had only 6 small pieces of beef slices on top. The huge take out box was just full of veggie. Most importantly, it was way over salted. We gave up after having one piece of beef. Lighted breaded spareribs were actually heavily breaded. Most pieces only had breading and bone. Breading tasted really bad as they did not use fresh oil. The meat was too dry as well. I'm the kind of person who would always take out the remaining food when going to restaurants. But the dishes were just intolerable that we ended up tossing them into garbage and ate just fresh bell peppers from our fridge for dinner.
I'm sory but thats honest truth, my wife and I ordered 4 different meals and that's one of the worst asian food I ever ate. Its not bad it's just no flavor l...at all !!not even salt I was thinking for a sec maybe I have covid 19 and I lost my taste lol...so disappointed .
Great gwai lo style chinese food. Prices are good, owners are nice. Pay with cash and get a discount.
Tom Yum soup the best Tom Yum soup in over 20 thai restaurants in Saskatoon. Friendly caring owners, they make you feel like home. The restaurant is a little tired looking but the experience is worth it. Its a must do. Prices are very affordable. Very busy at noonish.
