While there are a few wonderful teachers, administrators and other staff here, your best bet would be to not enroll your child here. There are major physical and mental safety issues that prevent teachers that actually try to do their jobs from teaching. Too many staff that are content with doing a mediocre job or the bare minimum. Try to address an issue and you get bounced around like a little rubber ball. I have been waiting for nearly a month for someone to return a phone call regarding my child not receiving instruction in courses imperative for him to advance to the next level, as well as the loss of his cumulative folder - all of his grades and accolades from the beginning of his time with this place. They really should shut all of the brick and mortars down, retain the best teachers and administrators and make it an online only situation.

MPS lowers the standards every year in hopes of bringing up their numbers, it makes getting good grades easier, but what also bothers me is the fact that they block every website known to man, that isn't deemed educational, you can't play games, you cant listen to music, the only thing you can really do, is go on a few group of websites that are "educational' it also bothers me that the budget that goes into lunch is so low that every plate of food you receive within the district taste like chop liver, or worse. All in all, the district of Milwaukee public schools, just brings me to insanity and madness. I would leave, but I'm afraid I have nowhere to go.

Called the school district to find out the name of the new principal at a particular school. The person who answered the phone told me to check their web site. I said the web site has not yet been updated yet. This person then told me they did not know who it was. This person did not make any attempt to ask internally, do any research or any work at all. I still don't know the answer to my question. My bigger question is this: If the school district doesn't know, then who would? Frankly, it just confirmed my already low opinion about the quality of employees at that location. Well done MPS!

I went to mps and they are horrid. The schools were not staffed properly the teachers were undertrained. This could just be the school but it also shows in the test scores of all the schools.
