i used to go this school and its trash but the teachers are helpful, just not the students cooperation. if you wanna let your child come here... go for it smh

I've been going to this schools since k4 even though im in 7th we had different buildings but at the old one it was better now at this new kinda building its annoying

worst school ever I went here long time ago and i remember that someone in the front office tried to attack me so my parents got me out in went to a better middle school where I learned and felt safe

To be honest, I really have no idea how someone can give this school more then a single star in it's current condition... I'm currently the valedictorian...or future valedictorian of the class of 2017, and I must say that this school is complete and utter trash. Kids barely listen to teachers, and in fact verbally harass them. Barely any learning gets done, with the school having an extended substitute as a math teacher, a similar situation for an English teacher, and a single science teacher that has to teach 3-4 different subjects. I've heard so much profanity by walking down a single hallway that I feel like I'm a trashy bar during happy hours. Student safety is not even this school's concerns, with fights occurring about every 1-2 weeks. Kids are suspended for this, but that's about it. I end up seeing them in a few days mostly unpunished. I would not believe any of the reviews that praise this school as a 3, 4, or 5. This school is terrible, and I suggest sending your kids to somewhere where learning can actually be accomplished. And there isn't any evidence of change either, as I've sent letter after letter to the school boards and principal of the school. Not only did they assure me that they were fixing things, which was a lie and ended up brushing the entire situation under the rug, but the principal actually called me in to try and 'help solve these problems.' Yes, the principal at this school is so incompetent that she asked me to try and solve the problems at this school...she asked a student...to do a job she's paid to do...with tax money... Please, please, if you're reading this, either pull your kid out of WCLL or never send them there in the first place. I am trying to save their sanity, education, and future. Trust me, you'll thank me later when they end up in a decent charter or even Rufus King of Reagan.

Oh my gosh!, Don't EVER sent your children here as I would given this school -5 stars. Currently as of Nov 20,2015 and a High school Junior, rank 2 in the class of 2017, the majority of the staff members, not all though, don't even care about the students' safety. This school literally allows children to gamble and use cellphones. The security guards see it and do absolutely NOTHING about it. The guards are only trained to lock up doors and escort students literally, to the bathroom. The school also likes to promote "Student Diversity" but the majority of the student body is 95% African American, 3% Asian, 1.5% Latino, and 0.5% White. To add the whip cream and on top of this, the school lacks teachers and students do ABSOLUTELY NO WORK BUT FIGHT! The head principal always make an morning announcement saying, " WE BELIEVE IN YOU, WE LOVE YOU" etc but how does someone say this and don't even make physical interactions with the high school body. To be honest MPS must close this school as it's an embarrassment to them.
