My experience with this centre has been great. The front desk staff have good knowledge on all the programs. The indoor pool is very large with a slide. They offer drop-in swimming and registered classes. My 11 yr old child is enrolled. The instructors are well organized and provide great support to both children and adults at varying levels. The change rooms are average in cleanliness. There are two universal change rooms with many lockers and private rooms to change in. Many bathrooms are availble throughout the centre so you're not obligated to use the changeroom bathrooms. The general waiting area has seating to accommodate families watching their child swim. I've added images of the changerooms on the weekend. I think this is relatively clean, considering the volume of people coming in and out.nnWith a large library, skating arena, outdoor park, and Mcdonalds all connected to this Centre, this makes for a great option if you're in the area and looking for programs both registered and drop in.
I went to the library to study and the space was nice with tables and chargers. The only downside is many Milliken Mills High School students come to eat their lunch. I sat in the quiet zone but there were two boys talking the entire time. The other side is the social side and students would comennon-stop to eat their lunchs. One group was banging the table or the chair non-stop for 5 minutes. No staff talked to the students. I would not advise coming here for quiet study zone as it is not quiet at all.
i’m telling you one of the worst employees ever they’re so annoying i can’t stress enough about how annoying these two guys are that work at 4:00 on saturdays they made up an entirely new rule on the spot saying only a minimum of 35 people about ten people budded in line they say nothing and on top of that they let an extra person in it’s actual bs like i’m telling you this is bs and they’re so biased they said my sister couldn’t go in cause she’s to young and then kids the same age come in they let them in and don’t age check them at all? like come on if you actually value your time then don’t go all the way out to milliken to play here at the gym it sucks
Good location, clean, and has a decent size pool plus a library. Staff is friendly too. Outside the community centre there is a volleyball area, soccer fields etc.
The facility is alright, and it’s interesting to see a McDonald connected to it. But what made me rate this a 2 star is because of the rental shop by the ice rink arena.nnThe kid that runs the place was very unhelpful. She doesn’t do skate sharpening when her father isn’t around and seems overwhelmed when there’s multiple people who’s looking for rentals.nnI asked for a pair of rental skates and she presented a foot measurement scale, measured my foot and brought out a pair that was so small my toes are basically cramped into it, she said that’s how it’s supposed to be. I had to fight with her to get a size bigger. It was still too small and she’s persistent that it’s my size. I skated for 2min and gave up.nnI went to sporting life and got myself a pair of skates right after this and from a conversion chart my feet was actually 2 size larger than the rental skates the girl gave me.nnRental skates were in terrible condition and a pain to put them on, especially with the nonexistent help from the girl working there.nnAnother thing I would like to mention was that there’s scheduled time slots for using the ice rink, and you only have a specific time limit to rent skates: for example, if the rink schedule is from 12:10-1:55 then from 2:10-3:55 and you come in at 1 to rent a pair of skates you HAVE to return them at 1:55.
