A living history re-enactment of an early summer frontier encampment, populated by hunters, trappers, traders, & artisans of the time period. Open to the public Saturday & Sunday. The site is located 6 miles south of Isle, MN on Hwy 47, and 1 mile west on Red Road at a very rustic location.
To bring the public and historical re-enactors & artisans and demonstrators together to help preserve frontier knowledge and help children and adults alike experience a bit of their ancestors lives.
The Mille Lacs History Festival & Rendezvous is operated by the Mille Lacs Lake Historical Society via efforts of volunteers, donors, supporters, and sponsors.
Demonstrations, Primitive Camping, Black Powder Shoots, Bow & Arrow Shooting, Entertainment, a general good time!
