Definitely worth a visit! The ice cream is very... creamy, but light, perhaps thanks to the nitrogen-based cooling process. Which by the way is very entertaining to watch! Their signature chocolate flavor is too sweet for my taste; I'm a dark chocolate person, sorry. But I loved their almond butter and sea salt caramel flavors!
Stopped in on the way back from New York City. My girlfriend got some toasted almond kind of cone and I got the Vietnamese coffee. The ice cream was really, really good. And the fact that it all soaks into the warm bubble cone makes that a treat! Definitely 11 out of 10 will be back soon.
A little pricy, but delicious. The portion sizes are large so you could easily share one portion with 2 people to save money. We got one scoop of the bourbon breakfast ice cream on a bubble waffle with corn flakes and Pocky topping for about $10.50. It was easily one of the best ice creams I've had. If it was even just a dollar or two cheaper I'd give 5 stars. But $10 for ice cream is just a bit crazy even with the large portion size.
Very expensive but very cool to see them make the ice cream in front of you! The ice cream in the picture is the S'mores flavored one. The toppings were included with the flavor I didn't have to add them on! 4 stars instead of 5 because if it is busy the wait time is long since this location appears to be understaffed and then actually making the ice cream to order is a lengthy process. While it is expensive the scoops are very large. Also!! be warned the blue cookie ice cream flavor will stain your teeth and mouth!!!! Only comes out when you thoroughly brush teeth and wash face lol. Don't get it before a meeting ;
Not a great experience, this place is overpriced and the salted caramel ice cream is a miss. The salted caramel was too sweet and salty it was inedible and the other ice cream we choose was bitter. Would not return or recommend to anyone. It’s ice cream how can it not be tasty ? Try at your own risk I am just mad I wasted my money
First time trying Milkcraft here in New Haven. Ice cream was delicious and so were the toppings. Staff was nice and quick with the order. I wasn't a giant fan of the bubble cone. I've had the bubble waffle cones at other places and this ones kinda meh. Not sure if mine was undercooked or if that's just how they make them, but it just tasted like a fluffy pancake instead of a crispy on the edges waffle.
Real score 4.8 Made to order ice cream! Carmel sea salt was Super Good! Good cold ice cream is like hot cheese on a goid pizza! Peanut butter option would have made it a 5.
Not the experience I thought we would have visiting this place. It is very overhyped.. The ice cream had no flavor especially for how much it is selling, came out to $20 for 2! You will have a better chance buying delicious ice cream from the store..They serve it to you melted, while it is dripping all over the place. Not professional at all. We had to throw it out. We been to tons of ice cream places but this one didn't wow us at all. Dissapointed.
Great place for ice cream in New Haven! The bubble cone is a must try— it is a little expensive but enough ice cream and waffle for two people so it’s definitely worth it!!
If you ever want to try premium ice cream that doesn't rely on toppings for its flavor and quality then I highly recommend this place! Cool interior design with good use of natural woods, modern music, and great friendly servers that actually care about making good and good-looking ice creams! It may be a little pricey, but the portions are quite large and filling! If you look at Calorie per dollar it's not bad at all. P.s. The blue flavor may be super artificial but it tastes like the essence of cookie dough: rich and sweet with hints of salt and vanilla! My new favorite flavor
