Mikey’s Taco Shop

Tasty taco shop and the portions are good. Tried the carnitas, chicken and fish. All were good, I wanted the beef but they were out unfortunately. Will have to come back for sure.

We had the beef, fish, pork, and chicken tacos for the first time. The taco portions were above and beyond our expectations. Full of flavour! The horchata was also great. Delicious!!

My first experience was rlly good! I ordered fish taco and veggie taco both are so nice. I would like to visit again.

So pleasantly surprised by how delicious these tacos were at this unassuming yet authentic taco shop! Such a nice alternative to grabbing pizza for get togethers. Great deal on Tuesdays for $3/taco.

Yummy tacos! I tried the vegetarian ones and my husband tried some meat ones. They were delicious! Lots of flavour. Service was friendly and fast. Would go again.

Claims to have the best beef tacos in the city, I haven't tried them all but I don't think they're wrong! I had 3 tacos: the roasted veggie which was very good, despite having mushrooms in it, lots of flavour, the pork surprisingly the least flavourful, not bad, but not wow, and the chicken very tender, delicious. They were substantial in size, 3 is all you need! With a side of yummy salsa. My partner had the beef taco platter, and the meat was fantastic, we really liked the refried beans too, thick and substantial. The Valintina's mayo was a nice addition it's also on the veggie taco. It included 3 corn tortillas, which seemed superfluous except we ate them them all with the beans and beef - no room for all the rice! We had tried the Mikeys on 12th, which has live music and is a sit-down restaurant but it had a line-up outside. We didn't realise the NW Taco Shop was take-out only, it would be nice if there were a few tables and chairs inside. But the food was "eat in your car" worthy, so no complaints! Hidden gem! The food is is really good, the service also, only thing is there’s no deep fryer, so no churros or shrimp tacos at this location but food was still fire regardless

We ordered 2 Mexican Platters, chicken, shrimp and beef tacos. Was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be ordering Mikeys again!

Wow. I read all the amazing reviews on this place and was so excited. Clearly none of you have tried a good taco place because this is far from good. I ordered a beef taco salad, it was absolutely disgusting. Beef tasted like tuna from a can. They put radish on it after I had asked them not to. They also asked us 3 times what it was we ordered. My boyfriend and his brother ordered chicken tacos, the chicken was super dry could tell it was old and just heated up. I was wanting to try this place for months and I finally did just to be disappointed.

So delicious! I ordered in and enjoyed tacos and sopes all weekend long. Love the fresh ingredients and incredible flavours. Very reasonably priced and great value. Everyone needs to try this place, a true gem in Calgary. Update: Mexican platter is such a great deal
