Great little breakfast place....super friendly service as well. You can tell the love and attention they put into making these wonderful dishes. Must try. Enjoy!!
Unfortunately it was not a great breakfast experience but their customer service is great. I asked for my poached egg to be hard and it came out soft. I asked the waitress if it was poached hard and she said yes, only to find out that it was soft. I asked for it to be taken back cause runny eggs do make me feel nauseous. When it came back it was hard but there were eggshells in there. They offered to give me 50% off my meal without me asking or making a fuss which I appreciated.
Nice little cafe with excellent food. Super friendly staff and owner who took time to make our morning enjoyable even when they were super busy!
Super friendly place. The food was extremely taste and the vibes we pretty chill. Highly recommendFood: 5/5
I have been here twice and love it! I came upon it by accident on the first visit, and was so pleasantly surprised! The food is excellent and very tasty with very fresh ingredients, likely purchased from our local Nova Scotian farmers it tastes *that* fresh!. The atmosphere is quaint and cozy. The owner is very nice and welcoming which I appreciate very much. My only minor complaint would be that the front staff may not keep a close eye on tables when customers vacate them because both times we sat down, the tables were sticky and not wiped. Other than that, I would recommend this sweet north end cafe 100%!!
Stopped in this morning with our baby and had a great experience. We were greeted warmly, enjoyed the use of the high chair, and had a delicious brunch! We had the sweet and savoury croissant sandwich, which was bursting with flavour. Definitely looking forward to returning and trying something new!
Absolutely fantastic little gem of the north end. This cafe offers everything and then some when it comes to quality and care. Real creative homestyle cooking here that perfectly warms our east coast lifestyle. Honey, biscuits, bacon and pumpkin seeds, butter, coffee and croissant sandwiches, need I say more? Come here and make this your new favorite place. You will not be disappointed.
If you are near the Hydrostone area or environs, this is the go-to and best spot for delicious breakfasts and brunch. Coming from Chicago and Toronto we had no idea where to go. Greeted warmly by owner Catherine and her excellent wait staff, I started with a perfect latte and between three people we shared thick tasty blueberry pancakes, excellent waffles and superb poached egg and avocado in a fresh croissant. Everything beautifully done. The best way to start the day.
SO good! Everything was delicious!!! So hard deciding what to order. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. Service was a little slow, but I think because she was the only one. We didn’t have any complaints!
I feel like I went to a completely different restaurant than the one described in other reviews here. I'll start with the positive, the potato wedges were excellent. The end. The service was notably bad, the server was very confused when I asked if they had English Breakfast or Earl Grey amongst the unlisted tea options...the server just kept saying "Huh, I don't know.". When I got my identity unknown black tea, I had to keep asking for sugar and milk, which came maybe 10 minutes after my second ask, and after my husband had already finished his coffee. Our food took a while to come out, not the longest I've ever waited, granted, but kind of odd as we were the only customers in there for the entire ~ 50 minutes we were at the restaurant with 4 staff members. My husband's biscuit in his eggs benny was definitely stale. The wedges though, very tasty. And that was the end of the service; no second round of coffee, no "How are you enjoying your meal?", no "Can I get you anything else?". It was a strange breakfast experience for sure. And finally, my husband went to use the bathroom but came running back out and said it looked like Passchendaele in there. The wedges were good, but not good enough to bring us back.
