Midas

Went in for a brake pad change a few months ago. Wanted to wait before writing the review to make sure I don't speak too soon. The brake pads work as expected. Visible grease on the outside, they didn't clean up their mess, but whatever... problem easily solved. But the rest of the experience was junk. Nice at first when trying to sell you the upper end ceramic brake pads. As soon as you start questioning that, the pleasantries are over with. Apparently the cheaper metallic brakes will squeal like crazy after a couple weeks, apparently they call all their customers after a couple weeks to check how the brakes are working and everyone choosing the metallic pads complains. Guess what? Metallic pads work brilliantly. No follow-up call ever came, we both know why. I also showed up with some Midas coupons for something like $60 brake pads, but apparently that doesn't include labour, supplies, cleanup, this fee, that fee, etc. Needless to say, more attitude. Stop wasting people's time, advertise the actual price. At the end this "cheap" shop ended up costing me about the same as some mechanics that were recommended to me.

When I took my car in for an alignment, they were confused, then called and told me they are unable to align the rear. I thought that was strange. Looking at the record, it appears they entered in the wrong vehicle! Right make, wrong model. No wonder they couldn't figure it out! Now I have to pay someone else to get it aligned properly. Won't be back here.

I have been in this shop in May of 2017 to tune the front brakes. It turned out I had to change pads and cylinder - it wasn't a cheap repair, with oil change, almost $900. I drive Kia Forte 2011. After couple of months I opened my hood to add windshield fluid and noticed that the brake oil tank had no cap. I went back to Midas to ask if they have found a cap in their shop, or maybe it was forgotten to be put back. They were not willing to look into it at all, and I felt that I was ridiculed over my issue - and you know what, no Midas will ever see me again. This was a really poor customer experience - maybe the worst one I have ever received anywhere.

Had my exhaust installed here staff was awesome did a great job my truck sounds fantastic
