Midas Canada Inc

I manage a fleet of vehicles in Ontario, and have often used Midas for basic oil changes, which they do well enough, although they are expensive. I had a vehicle with a leaking tire go in to the Midas on Younge Street in New Market to get a tire repaired. The 'tech' told the drivers that the tire was not repairable, and the entire set of tires needed to be replaced because the tread depth was down to 3/32". I talked to them on the phone and asked if there was a single tire that I could purchase as a replacement, he said that I had to buy an entire set of 4 tires. I said I wasn't going to do that, because I had a set of winter tires I could install, he then put on the spare at no charge. I then had the vehicle driven to our office where I personally checked the tread depth on all of the tires and it is 6/32" and the tire that was supposed to be unrepairable was then repaired at Kal Tire, and they told me all the tires were excellent. Now I'm questioning if it is a systemic problem at all Midas locations or just the one in New Market.
