Michael's Bakery

Has been a family staple for many years. Sad to see them changing hands but everyone needs to retire at some point best wishes and thank you for the memories and your contribution to many happy celebrations with your pastries.

This is a nice, old-school bakery. Lots of sweet treats here, a good selection and I was happy to see a good quantity still available in the afternoon. Good coffee too!

This is or should I say WAS a great place. Have been coming here for years for coffee and a donut or pastry, hard roll etc. Unfortunately they were sold April 1. Hopefully the new owners will continue the tradition. Only time will tell

Doughnuts very light and airy, and are made with a good balance of potato and wheat flour. The sugar glaze on the glazed doughnut was a bit too sweet, but the doughnut itself had a great flavor. 7/10 rating. The powdered jelly doughnut had a perfect balance of doughnut/powdered-sugar. I would have preferred a blueberry filling with a strong blueberry flavor, but the strawberry jam filling was OK. 8/10 rating. Coffee was adequate. 6/10 rating.

I worked down the street from here for two years before I had even heard about it... Now I'm there at least once a month to treat myself and fellow coworkers. The pastries and donuts are made fresh and are simply unbeatable. The prices are also great! I would happily spend an extra dollar and change for a dozen of their donuts over DD any day of the week.
