Was really looking forward to eating at this place heard some good things. the place is packed. It’s best to make reservations after a short wait we got seated and our waiter was quick to introduce himself. The service was great. The food was underwhelming. Tasted similar to what you would find in a fast food setting. Don’t get me wrong. It was good, but it wasn’t memorable. The atmosphere is alive and happening.
Sat on the patio after a 45min wait with no reservation for our group. The atmosphere and service is immaculate here.nnFood was also great, portions are good and not overly filling. I loved the tiger shrimp and will definitely come back for more because the flavour is so well done. Calamari was amazing as well, did not get a photo before we dove in. Meat was cooked well - I got the lamb here and it was cooked to medium so texture was easy to chew.nnI can understand the wait time given that I’ve got nothing negative to say this spot.
I think that Mezes is at the middle of a transition from a Greek Tavern to a High End Greek Restaurant, and that is great I support it however they need to really put some thought on the details more. For a place that you expect to pay 80$-90$ per person, a bigger table is a total must. Me and my wife had trouble fitting 4 plates to this table and as you can see from the pictures washrooms need more attention. This is what will make the difference since the Service is already there.nThe food is generally okay, some tweaking here and there can still make things perfect.nParking you can find lots on the street from the left side and there is also a public parking right in front of the restaurant.nAtmosphere was great and the patio lovely, greek beautiful songs playing at the background, really nice.
Mezes is an absolute gem! The food is amazing, and the service was outstanding. I highly recommend their calamari, lamb pieces and chicken dinner – it's delicious and perfectly cooked. We will definitely be back for more!
The food and vibes here are fantastic! This is honestly the best Greek restaurant on the Danforth! If you want real, authentic, tasty Greek food, visit Mezes! The lamb, dips and calamari are a must!! Drinks are great too and the owner is an absolute gentlemen!
