Mezcal

Classic Mexican fare with plenty of seating, great for parties or groups! The food here was the same as most Mexican foods, nothing bad about the food here. It was delicious but I love all tacos so I'm not a great judge. Mexican food has a dear place in my heart and I find 99% of it all to be finger licking good. However I thought the prices were a little high for Mexican food that I can usually get for 1/3 less and even larger portions. Other than that, the steak and pork here is bomb.

This place can be summed up as fun. The staff are all lively and friendly, and prices on both drinks and food are great. It's normally quiet at lunch, just a few tables at most. But the evening is packed, replete with mariachi.

My favorite Mexican food in new haven! Huge portions for what you pay. Authentic and delicious entrees. Cheap happy hour margaritas. I always leave full and happy.

Nice place. Interesting food options beyond the usual Mexican fare. They need more staff on the floor though. Service suffered because of short staffing.

"This is my happy place!"- person in line for the bathroom who also celebrated their birthday tonight at Mezcal. This is the perfect spot for a relaxed, fun dinner/drinks party. My friends are mostly vegan and we all got the veggie fajitas (ask for the vegan version!), Margarita pitchers, and gucamole. Upon notification that it is my birthday, the awesome wait staff got the whole place to sing for me. Of course that was followed by the notorious tequila gun. Last year I tried to show off by drinking a lot from the gun, but now that I'm a year wiser, I just had a sip. Lesson learned, and nothing lost. Good food, great staff, celebratory atmosphere!
