Very clean, organized and tidy store. They do have a wide selection of products you may not find at no frills or the superstore. The staff is friendly for the most part. I enjoy their hot soup and the lunch products. However the metro stores are all very over priced. I only go here when something is on sale or if I need a quick dinner.

Update Jan. 11, 2025nnWe went to the London road location today. Unfortunately, we noticed after that two of the products we had were expired and one item didn't come up the right price.nnSo we went to the Metro Northgate location to remedy the situation. The initial lady was great. But when we mentioned scanning code of practice for the item that didn't come up the correct price, that's when she called the manager. Legally, they have to do the scanning code of practice when an advertised price doesn't match what a customer gets charged.nnThen the manager came over. Never got her name. Late 50's, early 60's. Taller. Glasses. Longer hair that was up. This lady either hates customers or is having a bad start to her year or maybe both. She was miserable about the fact our price didn't match the advertised price. We showed her the advertised price and were met with extreme hostility and rudeness. She said the online flyers don't always match theirs and they can be copied and manipulated, etc. So essentially they don't honour their advertised prices.nnI'll be making additional calls about this because false advertising is not only annoying, I'm sure it's not legal.nn1/5.nn*********************nnThis store usually runs like a well oiled machine but ever since covid, they haven't figured it out it seems. Nice looking store after the renovations. I go here for sale items as regular price is so steep here. But ever since covid, the lineups have been brutal. Last time I was there for instance, one cashier open. Shopped for 10 minutes, waited in line for 20. They have someone counting people at the front door, which isn't needed if they relocated here to the cash register, then there wouldn't be many in the store. Or hire more people. Two easy solutions. I'll go elsewhere next time until they figure it out.n2/5.nn***Update***nnI'd say it's slightly better now. Still long waits from what I can tell but maybe a little less than before. Hope they continually work on improving.nn3/5.
Bright, clean and fresh. Drive through pickup for groceries. Friendly and helpful staff. Customer wash room.
Wonderful bakery! Cant thank Betty & her crew enough! They made a beautiful lemon filling cake that was beautiful decorated, so tasty and fresh. Outstanding!nAnd kudos to the folks that made the sandwich trays - also fresh with many varieties fillings and breads.
