Good collection of groceries, vegetables and bakery. Usual metro loblawa and walmart stuff of chips, condiments, drinks, etc.nnLadies in the service area are bit slow and not so friendly. Can smile a bit.nnLucky we have self checkout machines.
I know it's a grocery store but I'm shocked by the mediocrity because the prices are so high. I ordered via Uber.nnThe $30 cake was miniature, it looked family sized in the picture. The sushi was dry, hard and the inside tastes expired. The outer skin of the BBQ chicken skin was tasty but the rest of the chicken was dry, I couldn't eat it.nnThe bread came in a bag that has a massive hole in it.
Metro Beechwood has friendly staff, Patrick was very helpful.nStore is visually attractive with decorations and displays, inviting and offers a great shopping experience.nnThey sell Beer, great selection of flowers, large self checkout too!
A special recognition to Cindy for her kind attention & assistance with my on-line shopping order. She was available to take my calls and recommended a work-around for the issue I encountered. In this era of technology, Cindy has proven that nothing replaces the human touch. Beechwood Metro has been my go-to for most of my adult life which is why I’m finally writing this review. Thanks again to Cindy & to Ross for all of the prompt deliveries. Merci
Update -after many attempts to talk to staff about lack of Canadian products I am now reporting this Metro for falsely labelling US products as produce of Canada. I spoke to the assistant Manager and several staff but the US spinach remained on the shelf labelled as Canadian Produce. It is beyond disappointing - it is false advertising. Emails to customer service produced no change over a 1 month period. But, there is good news - I went a few extra blocks to a Loblaw on McArthur and Vanier Parkway and found lots of selection at great prices! It is really a much nicer store - not walking distance but well worth the extra effort - better prices, nicer selection with less of the lying.nnNew to the area and have shopped at the Metro Beechwood many times. Selection is pretty good in all departments. Very disappointed to see that many of the grocery items are Product of USA - especially when there are so many locally grown seasonal alternatives. Comments to staff brought no discernible change over 2 months.
