Very nice park.  It has a nature center and place to swim. It has a play area for the kids and nice trails.

Beautiful scenery and wildlife, seems like a great place to go and walk around by yourself for a while. However, it's no good for flying kites, because there's not enough open space (plus the geography is bad for it). There's a small amount of kinda dilapidated playground equipment, so it's not great for taking the kids to play either. Shoaff Park and the park at Parkview North are much better for these two activities. Buckner Park is great if you live out west of Fort Wayne. All three of those parks are also free... Unfortunately Metea Park is $2 per person (unless age 7 or under, IIRC).
