Meriwether's Bistro

Terrible. I've never reviewed anything before. We went with another family, my crab omlett was flavorless, our drinks a $14 Bloody Mary that I've been wanting to try was about the worst I've ever had. I had to add tobasco at the table and when my friend approached the manager she was told there was nothing wrong. She even asked her to try it but was told no. My wife ordered 1 small breakfast for our kids to split, scrambled eggs and hash browns with 2 slices of bacon and 2 links of sausage. The waitress came back THREE times to ask how our 2 and 4 year children wanted their eggs! We ended up with 2 plates of eggs and hash browns, 2 orders of bacon, and 2 orders of sausage. That's a lot of food for 2 small children. I would've complained but after seeing where that got my friend, I decided not to. All of that for $80! Pretty disappointed to say the least. Won't be back.

On two separate occasions, the breakfast was lackluster and cold by the time it hit the table. The wait staff was very friendly and provided good service. Too bad the food is poor.

Worst place I've ever eaten . Picture this; Giant prawns that turned out to be 10 little shrimp, slightly larger that a half dollar each, a half baked potato, a sub par salad bar. Three glasses of ice water poured on our table and on the three of us, poor wait staff with no respect for the customer. Oh yes, those 10 baby prawns cost $22.95 ----- what a lousy place !!!!!!!!!

Valentines meal was seafood buffet. You wouldn't think you could screw up a buffet, but Meriwether's did it. The items on the buffet were not labeled so we really had no idea what we were eating. The crab was cold and OK, but there was no butter to dip it. The meat (roast maybe?) was dry and tough. The salad bar was iceberg lettuce and dressing. The vegetables were overcooked they were almost impossible to chew. The jumbo shrimp were not pealed and tasted like soap. Putting baby shrimp in pasta doesn't make it a seafood buffet Other patrons around our table were complaining about similar issues. The chocolate fountain was barely functional and had globs of chocolate plopping down each tier. For $35 a plate I expected a lot more. The waitstaff did a great job and the musician was pretty good. We did get a free peep show of guest using the hot tub at eye level to the dinning area. I found the menu on the way out..... In the mens bathroom hanging on the mirror. I don't think we'll be going back.
