This was one of the better meals we have had in a long time. Every course was phenomenal, but the sliced pork, Octopus, Serrano Ham, and the cheesecake were highlights. The service itself was top level. My wife and I drink a ton of water and usually sit with empty glasses at most places. However, we never were even able to get under a quarter full without someone at our table with water. They grabbed the dishes in perfect timing and always wiped up the table and provided new silverware. Overall, we HIGHLY recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back.
The food is amazing - it didn't seem like you could go wrong ordering anything so feel free to order something new and exciting! We went with the tasting menu and a paella for a party of 6, and that helped avoid having to choose for ourselves which plates to get. The waiter was also super knowledgeable and genial. A lot of people eat here before going to a show, so I would recommend dressing up a tiny bit if that's something you're concerned about. This may also be helpful: if you're coming in from the Michigan Ave entrance, go up the stairs into the main lobby and you should see the restaurant further up the stairs. It tripped us up for a minute since it's in the hotel but the signage is easy to miss!
This was my first tapas experience and the flavors were amazing! Every single member of the staff was intent on making sure our dining experience was perfect. The view through the huge windows of the park on a stormy day was so enjoyable while taking our leisurely time nomming such treats.Food: 5/5
Had a fantastic dinner with friends at this beautiful restaurant. Trusted the waiters suggestion to go with the tasting menu for $60 each and it WAS WONDERFUL. Delicious dish after delicious dish kept coming to the table...Food: 5/5
The ensalada Verde was 20 dollars and the size of a side salad at a chain. I needed to add some lemon to improve the flavor. It was good, but... Not 20 dollars good, to be honest. The drinks were ok, I've had better at less expensive places. Meh.Food: 3/5
The bar tender when we first got here was terrible... He didn't greet us, he didn't introduce him self, he plopped down a drink menu and moved along. When I asked for drink recommendations he said, "How about Gin and tonic?" When I said I was looking for something like a signature drink, he said it is. He was fast and the drinks were good but he was lacking any personality and engagement what so ever. I am not kidding when I say he said no more than 10 words in the hour we sat at the bar waiting for a table drinking almost $100 dollars in drinks. Now the waiter was phenomenal! Great knowledge of the food and helped with our table of 3's decisions. We had the Octopus, Calamari, Sardines, Bacalao, Bacon wrapped figs, Short rib ravioli, wine and desert. I did find a pea sized piece or foil in one dish, but being culinarian's we understood these things happen and didn't demand a discount. They sent out a free Tapas and a round of desert ! Half the food was phenomenal the other I thought was missing some salt, and the beef short rib ravioli was flat... Needed acid and salt. All in all, I would go here again if I had the same waiter but would substitute some other dishes in.
Great evening! Food was exquisite, ambiance was perfect; lively and fun! Definitely worth our walk in the cold Chicago wind! Birthday dessert was on the house!
The Traditional Tasting Menu was dynamite! Friendly, attentive, professional staff. Reasonably priced, delicious wine. Rich, smooth coffee. Beautiful space. I will be back! #churros
Stopped in for dinner with my coworkers a few nights ago. We did the Traditional Tasting Menu at the recommendation of our waiter. He was amazing. Very knowledgeable and knew his stuff. Best customer service I’ve ever had at a restaurant. We also had the Aeros De Moriscos Paella’s. The best paella’s I’ve had. The tasting menu was great. The food comes out staggered at the perfect time. It was a fun experience. The bacon wrapped dates were awesome. The Bavette was fantastic. The salsa brava and garlic aioli with chili oil on the Patatas Beavas was delicious. The meal was very filling and everything was delicious. The servers replaced our plates multiple times to make the experience better. Foodies would love this place. I would do this again if I get back to Chicago.
