So much resources for people. They offer free trainings as well. I love referring people to them. They help with housing, addiction, education, and mental health, health in general and so much more. People may be scared to go to this place because of the name, however, it is not a place that only serves people with mental health issues, but also help people be established in life, so that they do maintain a healthy mind. THE RESOURCE OFFICE….
Rejected my referral had a care manager that did nothing for me but call me once every two to Three months when asked for help they denied it. Was hard to contact she was hardly in the office
I was sent to the hospital three times and locked in 2nd time 2 months and 3rd time 1 month. I was forced to take medication, abilify, lexapro, geodone, latuda, risperidone and some other ones. My experience at the hospital was horrible , I was told to stay in my room and not come out by some of the nurses, when I asked the back desk for things like a tooth brush and towel, I was not given any of it. Dr. Singh of the mental health association called the cops on me when I protested against taking my meds. That is how I ended up in the psychiatric ward. They treat you unfairly and inhumane like test subjects that doctors can do whatever they want to. On top of all that I experienced side effects from the meds I took, I was restless, sweating, heart palpitations, and felt nausea. I remember when I told the nurses that I disagree to take my meds and they instead gave me an injection of abilify. Honestly I am more worried about my physical health than my mental health so I give this place a one star.
Mha Of Rockland really helped me to move forward in life. I was an out patient for two years and left with the confidence and dignity I needed. The staff is incredible, they really care about your well being. You can be yourself because everyone is there more or less for the same reason. I'll recommend this center to anyone.
Wendy the family advocate is extremely rude, when asked to repeat herself she felt very fustrated to the point she hung in my face when trying to assist a family member who is disabled. Not the right person to in the fefro lines as she has no patience or compassion for the community she is dealing with. I'm disgusted amd feel extremely sad for disabled individuals who have to be directed for service s through someone who is soon disconnected in her field. I do not recommend this company soley bc she is in the front lines. I can't speak to the other staff. Nicole who answered the phone was nice
One of the worst outpatients I have ever been to. The staff is so unprofessional along with the psychiatrist, they have always messed up my appointments and gave me false information regarding the dates & times of my appointments. I do not recommend this facility to anyone.
These people have saved my life. The MHA is a place, where you can be yourself. Feeling safe and knowing someone cares saves lives.
The MHA's. ACT. Team is providing me with excellent services. They are helping me improve the quality of my life and are helping me remain out of psychiatric hospitals.
One of the best kept secrets in Rockland County! They are always willing to help and got me through some of my worst times!
Its all a font. Not cordinated well. Not proactive or willing to help. They just keep you in the dark and pass you along.
