Mendel Plumbing and Heating - 24/7 Service

I have been The Head of Maintenance at Wheaton Academy for 24 years now, I haven't always used Mendel Plumbing but once I tried their service for my plumbing needs, I have never looked back, they are "the best" in my opinion. I depend on quality, timely service in my responsibilities to maintain a large multi-building campus. I know with confidence every time that once they are done, it has been done right and complete. Thank you Mendel for all your consistent quality workmanship!

Hot water tank went out over holidays. As I didn't need it replaced that day, checked reviews online. Have seen Mendel trucks in the neighborhood and based on the reviews online, scheduled a service call for a non holiday date. Tech was on time, gave me a quote, which was basically a one line summary, which I did question at the time but since I now needed to get it replaced, went ahead. Guess I am still in sticker shock. After tech left, I found the model number on the tank and found out I could have gotten same one for approx $600 retail from Home Depot, so the rest was for 3 hours Labor? Have to wonder how much I would have been charged if I had needed it replaced on the holiday! Asked tech to give me a quote on some other plumbing items I want done and again, a summary and a high price, no parts/labor breakdown. Guess I am still in the market for a plumber, but one that is much more reasonably priced. No problems with the tech or parts but definitely on the MUCH higher end price wise. Thanks for the reply, but still will put Mendel on my 'when I feel like spending more than I should for a service' list.

I have called Mendel a few times over the last 10 years. They are always prompt, efficient and courteous. They provided a quote for Sunday work as well as Monday during normal business hours. The net difference was reasonable so it did not warrant waiting. Steve completed the job and I have a worry free evening. Peace of mind is a good value.

I had a frozen drain pipe for my washer. Paul was a very personal and honest tech. He didn’t try and sell me a larger job than I had. He gave me a few choices and I picked one. It worked fine. Being a widow, I am always on the look out for people who would take advantage of that I would recommend Mendel to anyone needing an honest plumbing company.

Dave was awesome!!! It was a last minute sink drain problem right before my sisters were scheduled to arrive. He was very knowledgeable, and patient with me (as I know nothing about plumbing) and explained what he saw and gave what I felt was great customer service with great recommendations. He discussed several options with me and we went forward with the best value to meet my budget and repair needs. He also took the time to look at some other concerns that I had in my house and supplied great, caring recommendations based on his experience. Dave was also incredibly personal, from the minute that he arrived, until the second that he left after a job more than well done. Dave was great! Actually, everyone I have come into contact with at Mendel has been superb. What a super group of talented, trustworthy people Mendel has...that do everything they can to provide nothing less than stellar service.
