I must say the food was good in general. The host tried to get all out requests fulfilled but the restaurant doesn’t have many choices because of Covid restrictions. I am not sure why they refuse to put vegetables on a margarita pizza. We had some changes in our order and the server was able to change it for us. I think it was good experience over all.
The decor was nice, but still felt like a hotel more than a nice fine dining experience. The food we ordered made up for it. Both of us had the lamb shank which was cooked very well and flavorful. We also ordered Juanita’s butter tart desert which was really incredible, and in fact I’d return just for that alone! For those that appreciate live music, they have a band playing in the evenings on the weekend near the bar area. We were seated in the dining room, for which I was glad.
Walking in we weren't sure as it was pretty dead low season now. So glad we stayed, they have Halal lamb and chicken. Tried their shrimp tacos, bruschetta, lamb shank, chicken breast and must say all were really good. Lamb shank was very tender and perfectly cooked. We have them another try for breakfast and they didn't let us down. Definitely will go back.
BEST stuffed lobster ravioli I have ever had!!! I could have dreams about it, and it was 2 years ago that we went!!
We had two fish and chips platters. The fish was RAW while the batter was hot and crispy, it seems they use frozen fish which does not get enough time to thaw while frying. When I wanted to tell the waitress about the raw fish just as a comment and not complaining she rushed to a sympathetic apology before I even spoke, as if she knew the food was bad or that she didn't care about what I had to say so she just rushed to apologizing. Please go and eat at McDonald's or eat a sandwich for your dinner, I assure you it will be better than spending your money at this joke of a restaurant
My ate here a couple of times with my partner as we were staying in the hotel. It's an okay hotel restaurant with nice service. The restaurant itself tries to be more fine dining than casual. The pork chop was really good, but the calamari was not appetizing at all. It looked like the manager was going around to all of the tables to see how their meals were both times we ate here. And both times we ate here the manager never came to see us. I wouldn't travel to come here, but if I was in the hotel I'd probably eat here.
Dinner last night was awesome in every way. All of the entries were exactly as described on the menus. I can't say enough about the lamb shank, delicious. My husband's steak was so good he complimented the kitchen on it. Everyone in our party had a different dessert , each one more delicious than the last. We will definitely return.
Food was good, however my salmon was a little overpriced for the size of salmon that I received. Was with a group of people, the biggest issue was paying our bills separately. It took over an hour for our server to get the bills right, and even after everything none of the bills were correct. All of us ended not paying the right price. However, the manager was awesome to deal with regarding the situation. Would return for the food and wine for sure.
I booked our year end Board meeting and Christmas supper at Memories. We were welcomed by the staff and were seated in a room they have for a little more intimate private meetings. The atmosphere was beautiful and the staff were very attuned to making sure we had everything we needed before our meeting night started then gave us privacy for the meeting, then once the meeting portion was completed we went on to the Christmas social part, the staff were very attentive to all our needs and offering suggestions on our meals. The presentation of the appetizers, main meal and dessert were beautiful. The flavors were absolutely delicious and the meats were so tender. All of us have no hesitation suggesting Memories as a place to try and we will definitely be going back.
Very nice, small restaurant, however the service was horrendous. My husband ordered the steak rare, it came out medium- well. He is not one to complain but this was so far off the cook he asked for he brought it to the servers attention. His plate was brought back and he was told that the steak had been cooked to the requested rare however it had been resting for too long and by the time it made its way to the table it was now a medium- well. He was not offered another steak. He was offered a free dessert. Don’t waste your money here.
