Not impressed... I came to this place because I was told they had good Peruvian food but the experience was rather mediocre. We ordered the clams and they were good there's no way to screw up when mixing chopped onions and mixing them with vinegar and oil, but the Lomito Saltado was awful, three small pieces of beef, rather boiled than sauteed, with tomatoes a mound of tasteless boiled rice and some fries. The waiter must have thought that I have hypertension because it was a low-sodium meal, no salt whatsoever or any other spice to be honest... I asked for salt and he brought one small package of salt the type you see at McDonald's. had the same dish years ago during a trip to Lima and it was delicious, the fries were added to the beef during the cooking so they were impregnated with the juices from the beef, not the sad concoction I was served, I am not Peruvian but I can tell when I am served bad food, and I can also tell when it is overpriced. The service was OK, just OK, the waiter an older man would benefit from changing his clothes now and then instead of wearing the same outfit covered in old and dry splashed food; it just doesn't look hygienic... like they say in Spanish... debut y despedida
Very good Peruvian breakfast place. Never tried lunch or dinner as breakfast is really what the place is known for. Food is good and service is good but they'll need more employees as we stayed 30 mins waiting without anyone assisting us. Other than that I would recommend it!
Amazing traditional Peruvian food! Great breakfast!
It pains me to give this place one star. At least the star goes to food because despite everything, it isn't badly priced and it's decently tasty. On every other category however, I was consistently disappointed. I Got a coffee and waited 5 minutes before deciding to ask "do u have cream or milk?" I got a nod and then I got a little bowl of cream and milk pretty much thrown onto the table with no eye contact to even fake a thank you. The place had a weird smell the moment I walked in. I felt as though it was dirty and I honestly just did not feel comfortable in the space at all. There were plates of unfinished food on two different tables, smeared food and napkins in the floor, we received wet but empty plates without food, a pitcher of juice, without cups, had to ask 2 times for water and never got it. I'm really really disappointed. I've read up to see quite nice reviews but honestly I was not Impressed at all. Best of wishes to the employees and to the business but unfortunately I definitely won't be back.
The food and service were excellent. The jalea was separated from the marinated onions which is a good idea for it doesn't become mushy. The Ceviche was delicious and plentiful. We came for a birthday celebration and they brought us a delicious thick piece of chocolate cake with coconut drizzle yum!!. I'm very happy with this find. Portions are well sized and the taste is just how I like it. <3
Food was ok, service was not so good, price is maybe a bit on the pricey side for what you get. At some point water was empty for a while and was never refilled. One of the table set was missing a glass, didn't get one until the food came and I asked for one...
This used to be the best Peruvian food in town, but clearly the owners are getting old and losing interest. Today we came for breakfast, they charged us the full breakfast for what was clearly a half breakfast and half of that was not edible, bones and fat. This is the 3rd time in a row I've left disappointed, I won't be back! Sorry Don Victor.
I am peruvian and I give this place 1 star. Very unhappy to say this places food had No flavour and seemed like old food. The Huancaina sauce was completely different from typical sauce and the potatoes underneath were Not fully cooked through! The chaufa had very little seasoning, rice was mushy. The lomo saltado had soggy fries and veggies. Please dont use this place to judge peruvian cuisine. Normally it has much better seasoning, and freshness. Anyways, I barely finished one plate and one entree. I swear I never get sick from food. 2 hours after eating I was on the toilet. I got food poisoning for 2-3 days. The food they gave me was old and soggy. One of the tomatoes was almost sour. Not saying this is how they always cook I only tried this time, I'm sure some people enjoy their meals, but I would never go back or recommend this place. To be frank, This restaurant is a disgrace to real peruvian food.
Good service, AMAZING food , nice little place .. I'm taking one start only because they are not organized with their reservations . We made a reservation and when we got there nobody knew. luckyly they waitress served us well and quick
Food is pretty good, but the owner seemed to be in a bad mood and looked like she didn't want to be there. Didn't make us feel welcomed and made 0 eye contact with us up until the end when we left a tip for our waitress.
