I tried Mek’s Delight on my friends recommendation.  He said try the “Laksa” spicy but very good. Yes I had to look up what laksa meant …. “Spicy noodle soup”  Omgosh this was so so good, wonderful heat that was so satisfying warmed me up after a long day of study.  The Wife and Husband owners were very friendly, and shared they make their recipes in house with spices from home.  I finished my meal with the homemade Malaysian tea, another taste delight.  Will I come back, most definitely.  Next time the three taste fish!  Thank you, thank you

Mek’s Delight was recommended by a friend when we llwere discussing about Halal restaurant for South East Asian food. Interior was simple & clean, there’s only 5 tables in the restaurant, so come early or call them first. Parking was plentiful at the back of the restaurant. The place is run by a husband & wife team, wife is from Kelantan, Malaysia & hubby is from Thailand. Hence the combination of Malaysian & Thai food. Very friendly & attentive service despite a 2 person team. We ordered fried rice with fried chicken, Nasi Lemak coconut rice, Chicken Briyani, Mee Goreng, & Rendang. The flavour of the dishes was spot on, the fried chicken was extremely tasty, the flavour went right into the meat with a crispy skin. Who doesn’t like crispy chicken skin? The Chicken Briyani was good, even better with the small bowl of curry that comes with the Briyani rice. Mee Goreng was authentically yummy! I am going to order that the next time. The coconut rice Nasi Lemak, the rice was so fragrant, it is cooked with lemongrass which gives off a very lovely smell beside the taste. The beef Rendang was expensive but so… worth it, you can taste that it is made from scratch.. the beef was so tender that it melts in your mouth, we ordered a side of rice to go with it… such a marriage made in your mouth. We also ordered Thai iced tea & tea tarik… We will be back!

This is an unassuming restaurant with a lovely couple at the helm. The Malaysian tea, beef rendang, eggplant sambal, and papaya salad were top notch. We will definitely return to sample more!!

I think Mek's have really authentic Malaysian food! After trying many other restaurants around the GVA, this one tops the cake. I really like their beef rendang, mee mamak, and roti canai. They even have teh tarik!!! The mee mamak was really spicy, but delicious. I will definitely come back to try the rest of their menu.

First time at this restaurant. Friendly owners. Food was very tasty at a reasonable price. Portions were alright but only tiny bits of chicken meat on Laksa & Red Curry. Rendang was delicious and saucy.  Hopefully they add more meat on those dishes. Overall, I will still recommend this place and will try it again.

Best Laksa ever!! Super friendly, sweet people who work here… definitely will be back soon! Google maps says they’re permanently closed but that’s not true… they’re open 11:30-8:00 everyday except Tuesday!

Great food and great service! Best beef rendang and crispy chicken in BC!  Papaya salad  is highly  recommended. Laksa is so rich  and yummy. Will definitely come back!

Small family run restuarant by a husband & a wife, seats 15-20 people Max.  The reason for my rating is not because the food wasn't good, I like the taste of the food but there was literally a few tiny pieces of chicken in the red curry and the chicken rice we ordered.  The roti kenai Appetizer tasted wonderful.  The price was not worth what we ate, asked to have just a little ice in our drinks and the drinks tasted watered down because we requested less ice.

The food is quite good, and looking forward to trying the deep-fried pomfret pompano fish with special sauce. Review to be updated with pictures. UPDATE: Had the pompano and added rice and the chilli paste which is quite spicy. Loved IT! Well worth the visit.
