The Medina County Drug Abuse Commission oversees Anti-Drug Levy funding for Drug Enforcement, Prevention and Treatment Programs.
In 1987 the voters of Medina County approved the Anti-Drug Levy to fund "Anti-Drug Enforcement and related Education and Treatment Services." The Anti-Drug Levy is a five year property tax levy last approved in November 2010. For $9.95 a year on a $100,000 property valuation Medina County is a safer and healthier place to live.
The Medina County Drug Abuse Commission was established by the Board of Medina County Commissioners for the purpose of assisting the Commissioners in the development, coordination and direction of an effective countywide anti-drug program.
The Medina County Drug Abuse Commission serves to prevent the negative effects of drug abuse by providing funding for and monitoring of education, law enforcement and treatment programs.
