At a time when discrimination is running rampant all over the US it was so refreshing as a woman of color to be surrounded by such nice white people. It was my first time visiting this meat store and the impression impressed upon me was wonderful. The older gentleman approached me and asked if he could help me with anything and from there the ambience only grew better. He was engaging and professional. He even gave me a knife that they normally sell for free as a first time customer. I felt a little awkward because I was shopping with a relative's ebt card but they never made me feel unwelcome or unappreciated. I'll definitely be going back. The women were nice but the old man rocks! Btw they sell variety packs/bundled deals!!!

Awesome folks working at Meat Block! Great Customer Service! I was a bit harried and past pick up date and they still gave me my gift selection. Not to mention they sell awesome products.

Concerning to me is the tilapia they sell. It is from China and is probably farmed. I didn't notice an ASC seal. The reason this concerns me is that there have been studies indicating these fish are fed fecies. Nontheless, it is easy to avoid and the salmon and meat is of fair quality though certainly not grass fed.
