As soon as we walked in, we were very thrown off by the atmosphere. Its a mix of a family-friendly restaurant with a classy pub. We were seated and given a menu for food only. While there is a wine list, their beers must be listed off to you and we were told they could make "basic cocktails". Our waitress didn't know what Irish whiskey was or if they even carried it. The place was freezing, people are dressed for 30 degrees and they have AC on blast. Music was terrible, playing Hannah Montana soundtracks and sad pop music. Ordered a whiskey sour that had powder or granules in the bottom of it? Tasted terrible. Appitizers came, our $7 French Onion soup was the worst we'd ever had, but our $14 loaded wings were good for the handful we got. Charged us $10 for a long island that came in a short glass. $8 for a small sangria. We paid $15 each for our meals which were a good size, the Texan burger was awesome but the fish tacos were mostly vegtables, and what was fish was half batter. All in all, food is a hit or miss, overpriced along with the drinks. Staff seems nice. Would not reccomend and will not be back.
Great food. Most meals range from $13 to $30. Nice atmosphere and good service.
We were a table of four on a Sunday evening. The place was busy but they were well staffed. It took an hour to get our food. My meal took an extra five minutes to arrive. I had the chicken fajitas which were pretty good but lacking guacamole. The fish and chips were good but not traditional fish and chips. The batter was a breadcrumb coating instead of a traditional beer batter. The chicken was dry and potato was cold. The ribs were meaty well cooked. The long wait would make me think twice about going back.
This establishment has been hit or miss. Our last visit the staff were friendly but service was slow and it seemed to take forever to get served and our meal took forever to arrive and our food was so-so, extremely greasy. Now that being said I have also had very quick service here with a fantastic meal. The atmosphere is interesting to say the least. The mural on the wall gives it some kind pasta house vibe. I think it is supposed to be a steak house of some sorts but they do not have great selection in that department.
The place is quite nice. The wait for the food is a bit long but it is usually worth it. The waiters are always nice and helpful, and the general vibe of the place is pretty chill. i usually order the same two things: wings with chewie I think you write it like that sauce, and the California sandwich with grilled chicken and avocado. Both are delicious and filling. They also used to have a delicious carrot cake but they don't anymore.
Actually the lunch today was dreadful. My friend and and I had their $26 8oz sirloin. I asked for mine medium rare and it was barely pink inside. It was so hard to get the steak knife through it that I could feel pain in my shoulder. The broccoli and carrots were completely cold when they arrived. The staff was lovely and the service was great. The manager came over to talk to me about steak and gave me a $10 coupon. It actually wasn't enough to make things right.
I came to McGinnis Landing with my husband this past weekend at the end of a long day driving. We were very hungry and tired. We decided to visit McGinnis landing as we had heard good things about the place and it appeared to have a menu with great variety. I got the prawn red curry and it was fantastic. My husband got the blue cheese burger and he could not stop talking about it. It is winter so our BBQ has been shut down for a few months now and he missed a fresh grilled burger. It was cooked all the way through but still juicy and bursting with flavor. He did get a side of blue cheese dressing to put over the burger and this definitely added to the excellent burger. The fries were crispy and hot, as I think they made us a fresh batch, which was impressive given how late it was at night. We came in very hungry and left very full and very happy. We did not have room for desert. As a side note, while we did not get to try them, we did get to smell the fajitas all dinner long and are excited to go back to give them a shot. They smelled so good I could tell it was torturing my husband all meal. Given their menu it is likely that tough choices will have to be made. Our service at the restaurant was superb, as our server was very friendly but also allowed us to be tired and hungry. While there were only two of us, the booth we were at could have easily fit four very large people with purses and jackets. The seating was both private and very comfortable. Overall the ambiance was relaxing and the meal was very enjoyable.
Went there pretty late with a large group of people , but that didn't slow the service down one bit. Ordered the Bold and the Beautiful burger. I give it a 10/10! It was one of the best burgers I've ever had! The price was no worse than Boston Pizza or Montanas. Great service, comfy seating, and fantastic atmosphere. I'll be going again for sure.
Had a reservation for 9 people for your half price appetizers on Thursday when we sat down we were told we could no longer get the half price appetizers because we were sitting at the wrong table? We were forced to move all of our drinks on our own and find our own seats after being seated and almost ready to order. By the way it was the owner that made us do this. The food itself was nothing special I had the nachos with chicken and the anijitios the nachos were mediocre at best the chicken was very bland, the anijitos were just tortillas with hardly anything in them. I cannot recommend this place to anyone.
The food was good and service was awesome! There is parking. The muscles tasted fresh and cooked to the right doneness : We asked prior to being seated if takeout was preferred an hour to close, and not only did they allow us to dine in, they made it a point to take our time as they needed to clean the kitchen anyways.
