McDonnell's Family Restaurant

Not a lot of food for the money you pay. Ordered fantail shrimp scampi to go. No bread...no salad and the butternut squash smelled sour. Didn't even eat that. The shrimp was tough and the portion very small. $18 for that with a piece of cake? Very disappointed.

Great prices, great options, child friendly, family oriented, in my opinion... What more could you ask for,?? All that and several options of fresh baked pies and cakes, made on site.

This place is and is at the heart of Carbondale their food is great and 9 times out of 10 is home cooked like the homemade soups, cakes, pies, and puddings along with many more of their foods the place is pretty much well keeped and you always feel at home the service gets a soled 10 everyone is so nice I've even seen the owner jump in and help when they get busy I love this place and would recommend it to anyone visiting Carbondale!!!

It's a nice place to eat quick on the run or just want to sit and relax with friend's and family Atmosphere is ok

Delicious food, wait staff is so nice and remembers you after only the first visit. The prices are SO affordable and you get good food portions! Atmosphere is cozy and feels like going to my grandparents house. Love it.
