"Promise Means Nothing" Sean Devine, the owner of Maxwell Auto, did not keep his agreement with me regarding the purchase of a car he was selling on behalf of another customer. We had test driven the vehicle together. I had made a commitment to purchase the vehicle. He knew how much I needed a car. Sean had told me he was putting it in the shop for me. This morning I was to pick up the car. Everything was in place for the purchase. Or so he had led me to believe! Last night I came home to a brief telephone message. He left no explanation, no apology ... just that he had sold it already. What happened to keeping a promise? What happened to honouring an agreement? Does keeping your word mean nothing to you?

The staff at Maxwell Auto are excellent with the customers. The repairs are performed quickly at a good price and don't have to deal with the same issue over and over like previous repair shops I used in the past. I recommend them highly. JV

Was billed $279.99 for a remanufactured alternator for my car plus labour for install. A brand new alternator is $200 online. The mark up is ridiculous. And my car STILL shuts off while driving.

Good mechanic. He is honest and upfront, however his prices are on the higher end.
