Overall, the store has a large selection of food, clothing, and household accessories. Where they continually fall short is the meat section and the lack of choice. The other issue I have is the fruit and vegetables. I stopped by today to pick up some carrots and celery, and I was totally put off by what I saw. Limp, dirty carrots, and likewise the broken celery. I didn't look at the other produce, but being Saturday and a busy shopping day, I can't imagine much better. Management should be thoroughly embarrassed.
This Maxi and Cie is an okay grocery store. Here is my opinion about it.nnPros:n1 It’s a decent size Grocery store not to big nor too small.n2 They have a lot of selection of groceries at decent prices.n3 It’s close to other stores and close to Fairview mall.nnCons:n1 The store looks like lacking a sense of feeling.n2 They need to make sure the place is a bit cleaner.n3 The place needs more natural lightning.n4 On some days they have less cashiers so the they need more if it’s going to be super busy.n5 They need to adapt to climate change and have zero waste and be net carbon for all stores.nnOther than that this store is super important and I hope they improve on the building surrounding infrastructure and just add more trees and green spaces.
We use the PC Express service almost every week. Although it sounds very convenient, we are no longer sure it makes sense. Besides the additional fee that you have to pay for it, products are missing almost every time. In some occasions, products are replaced at their will, without any concern for the customer's dietary restrictions we need gluten free food and sometimes they change the gluten free stuff for standard food. Sometimes is silly stuff, like changing brands or flavors lemon vinegar chips? Come on!; most of the times we let it go just for convenience but it's annoying.nWe use to call and let them know, but we just don't have the time to call every time and then go and pick up whatever they forgot... that's why we pay for this service in the first place!nIn any case, we're waiting to see if they manage to implement this effectively, as it is a great idea that would definitely give a competitive advantage to whoever implements it correctly.
Used to be a decent store, but has steadily be declining. Lots of weekly specials, but often shelves are bare for those same weekly specials. Produce is usually of good quality.nnLately they don't seem to collect their grocery carts from the parking lots making the parking lot a mess.nBathrooms are disgustingnnStaff has always been helpful.nGreat, baked in-house baguettes for under $1.nIn store PharmacienClothing departmentnHousehold goodsnnSadly, they don't seem to keep special stocked recently. Day two of special and they're all out of 3 out of 4 items I came for. Not impressive. Using flyers to get people in, but not actually having the product in store.nn2019-07-10nThings seem to be worse than ever. Once again went shopping and they didn't have many of the advertised specials. None of the tomatoes, no peaches, no hotdogs, no chicken, no mangoes. Very disappointing.nnAt the end of the day, don't waste your time going to Maxi. Go to Walmart and price match. At least Walmart will have the products.nn2020-01-28nStill don't restock and don't have weekly specials: no broccoli, no apples, no grapes, no butter, ... Talk about false advertising!
It in one of the busiest intersections in the West Island and that's probably why you can't find anything there unless it's a non on-sale item . If it's a sale item get there at 8am or don't even waste your time going. Not sure how much restocking is done even with the regular priced items. Shelves are low or sold out by mid afternoon. Used to be much better.
