Excellent park along the Fraser River, great spot to spend time with the family or friends. Lots of places to have camp fires along the shore line and places for lunch at picnic tables, most picnic tables have fire pit next to them. The trail system is really nice to though the floods have washed some of the gravel away it’s still really good and lots of loop systems to customize how long you want to walk far. They are plenty of great view points along the way, making things interesting. Couple bathrooms along the way too and are pit toilets but don’t really smell this time of the year and are very clean, they even have hand sanitizer in them. Also there is a really cute coffee truck parked in the parking lot.
This riverside trail and park has fabulous amenities, wonderful views, and a sandy beach area when the river is low. There are plenty of picnic areas, lots of parking, and washrooms, too. You can hike the trail in a westerly direction all the way up to Douglas Taylor Park - which is more than 6 km. Signage says to watch for bears
Matsqui park in Abbotsford is gorgeous. On the way to mission, underneath the bridge. There two trails the one to the left goes way further, gravel pathways, really nice Sandy Beach along the Fraser River, there are a few picnic benches along the way, was kinda muddy to get down to the beach from all the flooding, great view of the river and mountains, also seen alot of blue herons and boats going by, nice area for a walk.
Best place to watch sunsets, chill out with your friends or family around a bonfire. Very clean and well managed park with clean restroom.
Quick pit stop on our journey - was attracted to the double bride view - didn't do the nearby trail, but will come back at a later stage.
Plenty of room for your picnic, great to walk your dog, there are fire pits, nice big picnic tables and lots of parking...did I mention the beautiful view with the beach where you can also fish? Can be a little noisy with the hwy over the head but really I didn't hear the noise just the birds around on trees. Loved it.
Great place for a walk with the dog or the family or both. If you go in the evening just make sure you park outside the gate so you don’t have your car locked in.
Very few people outside Abbotsford are aware about this trail n i dont blame them coz its not even visible from the road. Right at the intersection of olund road u would find gravel parking. Its just the begining of the magic. Trailing along this park/trail would feel like crossing fields, forest, fauna and just going deep into woods. Half of the trail is around people’s farmland. Ofcourse its fenced but u can see the crop and the farmhouses along the way. At places its dense tense trees n wild flowers. Pathway is gravel. U can bring your horses for horse riding or just a walk with them. i wish i had one but i will soon take my friends there. Somewhere in between is a railway track that is a perfect spot to take some rail track photos. i did take some In total its 14 km stretch which is too much to walk or jog but who cares if u wanna be healthy so just go for it. Enjoy this sight.
Great spot by the river for a walk, run, or bike ride. As well a nice place to bring the pups for a walk. Lots of scenic spots along the path and the picnic area. Nice at night as well. There’s an outhouse right near the picnic area that’s well taken care of. Very well maintained. Mosquitoes can get bad at some points thru the day, so I’d advise bringing some bug spray incase.
A great place for a walk but is always packed. Wouldn't be as bad if people learned how to park. I've went to park in the main parking area before only to find cars parked diagonally or crooked taking up more than one spot
