Booked a trip, got it cancelled, and the only trip I could get instead added 3 hours and a transfer/layover. We had three different drivers because they kept maxing out their hours. Should have spent the extra 30 bucks to take the train, at least they have decent seats, chargers that work, employees that aren't rude, and better time.
I've been travelling by Greyhound for over 40 years. I love the convenience and can avoid the hassle of driving into the big city. Very affordable mode of transportation & always professional, courteous drivers.
Stopped in while taking the Greyhound. I find it very neat driving behind the building seeing everything hidden in behind that you dont usually see. My bus picked a few people up and may have dropped off a few. We carried on our journey to the next stop to do it again. Did you know most Greyhound busses have wifi, I didn't
Always packed buses. They must be doing something right. Cheap and cheerful as long as you dont get stuck sitting next to some crack head. One drawback I've noticed if you are a reasonably nice looking girl you might get some attention. Fine if you like that. Annoying if not...so my partner tells me :-
For daytime use, it is sufficiently equipped with in house seated area, toilets and cafe. Like the Central station in Vancouver, one cannot seek shelter in the indoor seated area if your bus journey involves a midnight layover! Please check your schedule and choose carefully, especially if you a woman traveling by yourself. After the spooky experience between 1-5am on Monday 7 November 2016 in Central Station Vancouver, I think all midnight stops should be banned for safety reasons unless staffed in house shelters are provided. They will be sued for any unfortunate mishaps for the lack of duty of care. The Greyhound stop at Seattle, US has a 24 hour manned in house shelter
Overnight rides are a huge gamble, for example you can get dumped on the side of the road for 3 hours before another bus picks you up, even if you're scheduled for a straight shot. Daytime buses are often very late, by hours. Use Greyhound as a last resort and remember, you get what you pay for.
Definitely zero stars because of their bad service. Waited about an hour in the cold because the bus is late but the office doesn't open till 730am. Only two chairs outside! The employees came at 7am and just ignore us! Could have just let us in to keep warm and get some bus updates! What's the point of having an early morning bus if you can keep to the timing!!! So irresponsible and inconsiderate!!! I'M FREEZING COLD WAITING FOR THE DAMM BUS!!!
The bus driver refused to let me pay to get to Chilliwack and almost caused me to miss my transfer back to Edmonton because this branch closes so early. I am appalled at the amount of bad interactions I've had with greyhound. Its no wonder they are closing down their Western Canada routes; the staff are some of the worst people I've had the displeasure of interacting with in my life.
Definitely zero star, the worst company I have ever seen and the worst experience I have ever had. I went to Abbotsford yesterday May 7, 2017 and took Greyhound Bus, the returning schedule was 8:38 pm. In the evening, I arrived at the bus terminal before 8:30 after I took some food in the Tim Hortoms nearby. When waiting, I saw the bus came, but the driver didn't allow me to go on board, he said his bus was for 8:50 pm and the 8:38 pm bus had not arrived yet. I asked the 8:50 pm bus driver if I could get on his bus if the 8:38 pm bus was late. The driver answered if there was room for me, then I could get on. Then I waited, time passed, it was almost 8:50 pm, and the 8:38 pm bus was obviously late the one I should took. At that time, there were 5 people left waiting for 8:38 pm bus, two couples and me I was the third one to arrive in all three, there were a couple in front of me and the other behind me. There seemed to be some seats left on the bus, the driver let 4 other people get on board but left me outside. I asked him if I could get on the bus, he refused. I told the bus driver I was only one person, and I didn't know when the 8:38 pm bus would come. He refused me again and said there was no room left for me, the 8:38 pm bus would come any time. I was upset but had no other method except waiting, at first, I thought it was normal because I was told Greyhound Bus is always late It's the first time I took Greyhound Bus in Canada. Then I waited and waited, time passed 9:00 pm and the bus which should come half an hour earlier still didn't show up, it became darker and colder, I felt things not right, also my phone was short of battery. I began to feel frightened as I didn't know any person there at Abbotsford and I didn't even know if the bus would show up or not, there was only me, nobody else waiting at the Greyhound Bus Terminal. I began to call Greyhound customer service, trying to figure out what's going on and if the 8:38 pm bus was still coming, but no matter how many times I called, there was only machinery answer, my patience finally was depleted, I was super furious and frightened, almost crying, as it was almost totally dark and I still didn't even know what's wrong with 8:38 pm bus, it was late or it was cancelled. I didn't know what I could do or where I could go, it was too dangerous and cold for one person staying outside alone at such a strange place. There was no bus coming, I was left alone in the Greyhound Bus terminal for no reason, a place I didn't know any person, no people around, and the last bus 8:50pm driver refused to take me back to Vancouver on his bus, There were cabs parking along the road, my phone was almost dead and I went to a cab driver for help. It was over 9:20 pm, he helped me check the Greyhound Bus schedule and we were both sure 8:50 pm was the last bus and were almost certain there would be no bus towards Vancouver coming. It was past 9:25, if the 8:38 pm bus was still on the schedule, it should not be that late. Finally, the cab driver took me to Surrey skytrain station to help me come back home.
The old buses are .. well old, but got outlets fpr your phone, and the new buses do not! ... ? Don't know why. The seats are not very uncomfortable but not suitable for long sleeps, I've been in beter bus rides fpr the same price
