Matcha Cafe Maiko

Friendly staff. There is street parking available paid. I tried the matcha float with hojicha ice cream. Love the hojicha idea cream. The latte was tasty too. I also tried their matcha soft serve in a waffle cone. It was creamy and tasty. A must try spot for matcha lovers.

Tried the Matcha Latte with Matcha mix Vanilla soft serve and this is my favourite combination. Ojicha is a little on the bitter side for me but the mochi ball was perfect. Service was good and staff is very patient in explaining what the different flavours are.Food: 5/5

We visited Richmond for one week and tried this place the last three days of our trip. The matcha soft serve was so good that my family went back for three consecutive days! On the last day, one of the soft serve accidentally tipped and practically the entire soft serve dropped out of the cone after I walked out of the shop. The lady owner? was so kind that she gave me a soft serve back in a cup without charge. Thank you so much for making a lasting impression on the last day of our trip. We will definitely be back again and highly recommend this place to everyone for their good quality matcha desserts and their exceptional customer service!

The matcha ice cream is delicious and authentic. The service is also friendly. The only down part was that there are not many seating areas to eat it with friends.

LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE, They greet you in Japanese and help you take photos. The matcha taste is superb, and the soft serve ice cream is the most popular/best out of all. A month later's edit: Matcha Maiko strikes again! This time I ordered the special and it was so good it brought me on the verge of tears. I was quite worried in the first place since the price seemed a bit $$ for a soft served ice cream, but after getting the food, I was awestruck. The special starts off with a large filling of their best soft served ice cream, then with a very thick layer of matcha cake that soaks up the dripping bits of the ice cream. Under that is a thick red bean level with delicious and crispy flakes underneath. The final level is an aloe vera jelly that was just delightfully soft. I will come back for more!

This might just be my favorite soft serve place in all of YVR. I usually don’t particularly like parfaits from other cafes with similar concepts, but Maiko does it so well! The toppings are super tasty and, not to mention, the matcha/hojicha flavor is so prominent. The regular soft serve cone is amazing as well. Sometimes they’ll mix up the flavors and you can get vanilla, yuzu, etc. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving for some dessert

It's on the pricey side, but having their soft serve is worth it! It definitely feels like an ultra premium product and so I can understand the price. The mouth feel is super smooth, doesn't feel like there are a lot of gums or stabilizers added in. Conversely, it does melt fast on a hot summer day – so eat fast! They have their staple matcha flavour, but i've seen a rotation of vanilla and strawberry that you can get on its own or to swirl with the matcha

Fantastic matcha soft serve and they offer rotating flavors if you want to do a twist cone. PS. You get a free soft serve on your birthday, just show your ID!

My favourite matcha soft serve place ever! I usually get the matcha swirl with vanilla or hojicha whatever they have on rotation for the period. The matcha is strong and smooth. I love the hojicha flavour as well. Prices are fair and the portion is big! Staff are always so sweet too

Got a matcha ice cream in waffle cone. Absolutely delicious. Prices are fair given the size of the ice cream. Very decent sized and would definitely recommend you go here. Ice cream is smooth and well flavored.
