In short: this facility is excellent and definitely worth spending a session or two in. There's a bit of a learning curve with the simulator software. This facility is really cool. It admittedly took me a few minutes to figure out how to actually use the software, and for some reason no matter which club I set, it would always default it to the driver EDIT: I figured it out on the second visit. You have to select the proper club in the projector program as well as the computer monitor program... But otherwise it wasn't too difficult to use. Once I figured out how to end the previous user session and went on my way, I had a really fun time. The price for an hour was comparable to a jumbo bucket at most driving ranges and the feedback you get was very informative. It's definitely a place I want to come back to. I've been reading other reviews about this place and it seems like the owner is actually interested in listening to suggestions and improving service, and I think that's incredibly impressive. I think having an account-based system on the website would be very helpful to quickly book time slots. When your booking is almost up you have a 15 minute window to book more time, I just think it would be a bit more convenient if we could store payment options instead of having to input it each time. It's not a huge issue, though. I also saw on the website that they're looking for club professional to offer lessons, and I really hope the find someone because that would make this place even better.
After taking a few years off, I wanted a bit of practice before playing a proper round of golf. The experience at Master Golf was excellent. The process to reserve a spot was easy, and the simulation software was simple, as I read the blog post before arriving. I found the feedback on my swing on the different monitors really helpful, and once I hit the real golf course my historically severe slice had more or less disappeared. I wouldn't have got this feedback and seen this improvement if I'd gone to a traditional driving range. I've been a few times so far and will definitely be back.
Like many have stated there's a learning curve to working the simulator but hey, that's what the print outs on the wall are for. 15 minutes before your time you can set up projectors are usually off, you just hit the power button the tracker will not work until your time has started. You'll see the Red lights on the tracker and the computer will say "ready" when a ball is placed. Everyone when other bays are full are courteous and might pick up a challenge with strangers. Good environment and an excellent place to keep the rust off in the winter months.
I am editing my previous review. The company was very helpful after we faced some tech issues. I have been back several times after that and have really enjoyed my time. For those looking for a great place to practice in the etobicoke area. This is the one.
Worst simulator I have ever used. First link to get me in the building would not work, took me 10-15 mins to get in. No number to call on the website. No one tending anything that would let me in or extend my time given I lost it waiting outside. And the sims are average at best. The putting like most is atrocious but the gimmie function did not work therefore spent a lot of time trying to figure that out. Wasted overall 45 mins of my 1.5 hours. Only got through 13 holes in that time which is ridiculous for someone by themselves and knows how to use golf simulators.
This place was barely a 2 star. I liked the drink selection in the vending machines. This place makes you wish you had booked at Tracer Golf instead
Beyond disappointed with this business. Started calling at 4pm about a 7pm booking and did not hear back until 7:20... 20 mins after our time was supposed to begin. Tried to contact multiple times, 4 different ways, to find out if golf clubs were required or if there were any available to rent because the website has no information. When the owner finally called back, again after our start time, he became ignorant very quickly as we were told it was our fault for booking blinding. Well maybe if you had better customer service and answered our calls etc this would not have happened. We asked for a refund as we are only in town for 2 weeks and do not have our own set of clubs here nor can afford to go and buy some but we were only offered a store credit that we will not be able to use.
Was a great time, the owner was awesome and he explained everything over the phone. The keyless entry to the simulators was pretty cool! 100% will be going back
This place is great. Been 5 times at least. Owners are quick to make improvements and price is great.
Amazing range. Shows tons of stats about your shots. Will definitely be going back! Perfect when I can’t sleep and need to get my 1am golf fix in.
